Maybe, he was not being her everything...just maybe, he was doing what most of us do for the one we say we love...

I always thought that Condo HOA’s paid for homeowners insurance...in the HOA fees...because they are attached to other homes...which in theory..could not be insured by the owner of one condo...which would create chaos if there was a need to file a claim...
I always thought the individual owners of condos could buy insurance..but, it just covered the contents of the home...

Condo HOA fees are notoriously higher than HOA fees on homes...also, many have more restrictions..
My advice would be to buy a newer home...with preferably a tile or metal roof...(shingle roofs are higher to insure.)
In my area, most newer neighborhoods do have HOAs which includes yard maintenance, gym, pool and spa...
My monthly expenses went much lower..when I moved into my neighborhood...insurance, taxes, utilities..etc.
I also have been very lucky..the members of the board on my HOA..are very frugal..and have negotiated better prices once the residents took over the board from the builder..
I can only speak for homeowner’s insurance in my area...The crisis started here with Hurricane Irma...Many insurance adjusters approved roof damage from the winds..to pay for a total reroof..to homes that were in need of a new roof before the storm...
I know many people where I live are unable to get an insurance company to cover their homes.
I am lucky, I just paid for my 4th policy since living in my home..the premium has only increased by $300 in this time span..
It is definitely a good idea to have cash in reserves...for any kind of big expense..If not, you could have a very high special assessment added to your monthly HOA dues.
I had a special assessment this year, for damage from Hurricane Ian..for landscaping, street signs, etc..that the HOA insurance would not cover...
The insurance crisis here in Florida will only continue to grow...The governor and the insurance commissioner...need to get their act together.

I do have Medicare...but I also have a supplement (which pays for what Medicare does not cover and the remaining balance..) Many of the Advantage Plans...do not accept the doctors of your choice...

I am staying with what I have...supplement went up very little...Prescriptions...I pay zero now...Ended up saving a little each month...
I made too much last year....since I did widow’s benefit...it was always a take time off..and get company insurance before I reached early retirement age...I had to down to working only 2 days a week...because I made too much...
I am going back to 3 days a week next year....
Be very careful with the non Medicare plans..I work with someone who thought they were going to save money...and, ended up paying much more than they said she would.
You are entitled to your opinion...When we are living in another country it is up to the individual to respect that countries historical statues, policemen, the states property, and not try to force their way into businesses. Also, it is very disrespectful to shut down traffic and public transportation...
Not many countries would put up with these kind of action...It does not make them racists or bigots...It means they expect visitors to practice respect and decency.

Did you know that protestors tried to stop the Thanksgiving Day parade..by gluing themselves to the road...This kind of behavior has the exact opposite effect on what they are protesting for...In fact, it only makes those who have opposite opinions..more steadfast in that opinion.

Many of the protestors here are the same who protested for BLM and ANTIFA...paid to cause chaos...and deface police cars, break store windows, deface statues and close down transportation for those who just want to. live life...

It is the year before election time...So, gas will go down in price..It would be nice if groceries would go down in price too...I also hope, the strategic petroleum reserve gets restocked at these lower prices...
Fed is not supposed to raise interest rates...again, the sceptic in me says this is due to election time around the corner.
