RE: Colonoscopy...

I'll pass. They say polyps are the cancer risk. They think. Husband had some removed. He had the last one and I had a heck of a time to get him over it. Then he died of his MS six month later. I should have told them no more.
Girlfriend had a few after they removed polyps. She got Parkinson's. She had issues and Docs said the meds, change them. Again. Oh, just the Parkinsons. She got sick, in hospital and DOA in a week. OF..colon cancer!
I have heard of the punctured guts by idiot Docs. I am old. I will die of something. After I do..they can tell me what it was. Mom had heart issues. She said they weren't going to torture her to death and steal her money. She was right. Autopsy showed benign uterine fibroid she never knew and heart damaged as a child with no repair possible. Docs would have had a field day butchering her up.

Dad went through the inflation after the first war in Germany. He got paid at noon and went to the factory gate with the others. Family members waited, took the money and ran to convert it into anything..food, cloth, something that held value. He got paid again at quitting time and did the same. The cash was devaluing by the hour. What cost one thing in morning had gone up by night. He said the US would go the same way. I earned $1.35 an hour. A 20 bought 3 bags of groceries and that included meat.
The idiot idea of governments is GNP. The economy must grow. We must manufacture more than 3 WORLDS can consume. And companies must have 6 vice presidents to the vice president...all making enormous salaries to think. And golden parachutes. While workers are expected to do more work for cheap wages.
This country is not pleasing the powers that be. Workers say why bust azz..why be loyal..boss isn't. The young don't care about buying a house and filling it with a ton of stuff they replace every couple years. They are buying and trading used. They want entertainment not material goods. And the companies hate old people cause we dont need more junk and buy little.
Until people say enough and stop buying, prices will continue to go up. I went to the grocery store..haven't been for a month or two. I walked around and came out with $81 worth. I saw many things I would like. Looked at price and thought..I can live without it and they can stick it where the sun doesnt shine. Looked at strawberries. $2.99 for the pack. Looked them over. Some too ripe, some ripe, some greenish. Nah..not worth the chance they are good.

We have never had such a joke for POTUS as Biden is. Foreign leaders guide him around so he doesn't end up in a utility closet. He babbles on TV unless he has a script. And he can't even follow that correctly. He changes stories faster than people can keep up. He either trots across the ground or walks like he filled his diapers. He hangs onto his wifes hand like a scared 2 year old. Mommy! Where are you!?
Like Trump said, he knows lots of 80 year olds who are sharp as a tack. Biden certainly isn't one of them!

When I grew up, parents provided for their kids. And a family worked together for the good of all. I knew poor farmers and they managed some how to get their kids the food and clothes and stuff they NEEDED.
I went to a one room school and then 4 room. We had a milk break in the morning..2 cents for white and 3 for chocolate. And we got lunch. I think it was paid by the schools.
Now in the US, kids get breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus a snack and bag for home for the weekend. All free.
What happens when that kid turns 18 and is done with school. Maybe graduates. Or not. "Hey man! Wheres my free food? Who's gonna feed me? Worse, mom wants me to move out and get a job! Work!?

Fall heading in.

I hate winter. But, one good thing about it..it kills off everything and gives me a fighting chance in spring to start over. Not that I ever win anyway. I am attacking the hedge along my long drive which is prickly ash, hackberry trees, mulberry trees and whatever grows in the "row". Now it is drying off so I can wade into thorns and hack off the sprouts that got away. I swear a shoot can grow 2 feet in a week!
The joke with pumpkin spice is it has NOTHING to do with pumpkin flavor. Just the mix of spices one uses in pies. I avoid it. It belongs in a pie!

I wish I could find a record I have. It is a joke one where it is modern times and an old henchman calls Hitler in South America. So that is the safe way, at least for now, to bad mouth anyone. I hope he gets hit by a tank.

We have an idiot in office who wants to hand out money like lollipops. Of course, not HIS! I knew a guy who went to college. Didn't want to skimp so spent his savings partying. Then didn't get the career he was told, so played up mental and sat on welfare.
Lots of people went to college. The sane ones, worked through it. Went to one they could afford. And after, loyally paid off any loans they ended up with.
So now they, as tax payers, are supposed to pay off the loans for others who either borrowed more than they would make. Or decided to pound up a few extra degrees?
It makes the ones who paid or are paying the chumps.
We need leaders who will stop with handouts to garner votes and pats on the back.

How many things did I drink or eat after evicting a bug, fly or other. Big deal. There is a certain percentage of insects allowed per gallon of canned tomatos. Probably other canned foods. Now if a rat or mouse fell in, that is a different story. Bugs are a part of life. They even want is to eat them now.
I grew up on a farm and got exposed to every germ, bacteria and bug that exists here. I have shoveled water out of the barn ankle deep in it wearing sneakers. Licked, slapped, rubbed and whatever by animals covered with dirty tails, tongues, hair and paws. Only issue was ended up with a horse worm once. Lesson about wash hands before touching face. Eggs you know.
Problem with people these days is they aren't exposed to enough germs.
P.S. I will NOT eat a grub or worm!

The un-employment rate doesn't include those who have given up on finding any job that will hire them. Or those who work part time, even 3 jobs, because they can't get hired full time. Nor those who are stuck in their job due to lack of hoping for another. Ask some of the homeless if anyone counted them.
Do they count the women or men who are stay at home because they can't find a job or the childcare. The family makes due on one paycheck one way or the other.
The rate is like all averages. Ask 10 people and say 9 said yes, therefore only one percent said no. And the media touts those averages. I do surveys. If I don't fit some criteria, I am dumped. Excluded. So the survey picks the ones they want and then say survey says.
Now ask 1000 or 10,000 and accept all and then what are the numbers or percentage.
The US allows a business to pay out X amount in cash with no record. It allows a farmer or construction company to hire the bit of help they need without doing payroll, taxes, benefits, etc. They leave it to the worker to declare income.

Planned obsolescence has been the norm for decades. I have an IH freezer still running..built in 1949. I leave it in the farmhouse for tenant. And I have gone through 4 new freezers. The old one uses 1.50 a month to run. The modern, $3 a month.
We own cars that are classics that we can work on. Of course, have to keep up maintenance. New cars cost the price of a house, are no maintenance and guarantee a dealer repairs. Will they make 30 years? 20?
I buy only Scott TP. Once it was always the same. Now it is still 1000 sheets but a crap shoot what texture. One time package is industrial sand paper. One time is soft. Once is quilted. Sheesh..can you keep it one way? And why not?
Covid was an excuse to jack up prices. If people whined..ok...same price..less of it then. I noticed Bubba's bagels shrunk. I use a paper plate til bad, then to cat plate. And the bagel halves overhung. Then fit nicely. Now they went back to overhang. At least one company isn't holding us hostage.
The dollar stores are good at flim, flam. Paper products one can read through. Tiny bottles or watered down. Fragrances that smell nice in the bottle and fade in 5 minutes or less. But, hey..it's cheap!

I like that, can multiple but not add. The dumber the populace, the easier to control. China has figured out that if one allows a young person to work by choice, earn cash and spend as wished, they will avoid rebelling because they dont want to rock the boat and lose what they have.
Over population leads to starvation. That is the issue in Africa. A thousand years ago or whatever, a man and woman lived on acreage enough to provide even in lean years. He hunted, she grew crops. They had a baby. Then a second. And third. And maybe more. Some were girls, some boys. So as the parents aged and sons grew up, dad divided his large holdings so each son had land to live on. And raise a family. Which he divided with his sons. Who did with their sons. Now each family have only a bit of land that is incapable of feeding them. So kids head to crowded cities to slums and starve there also.
Humans seem to have a knack for seeking good land. When that runs out, they settle on poor. Bad weather and more starvation.
I just looked on line with my boarder to see what factory jobs are local. Only a few. Either third shift or ones that take high skills. The farms around here are mainly large, family or corporate. So if illegals show up here, their choice is laundry or housekeeping. And not many of those either.
The jobs will end up slave labor. Sweatshops, care for elderly or kids. There are not enough jobs for over population.

What gets me is Biden saying it isn't the votes that count, it's who counts the votes. So does that mean Trump did really win? That is a creepy message to say.
I never voted, figured no use. Then Lynden LaRouch ran. He said go vote. Will it do him any good..nope. But, when you don't vote, they think you are happy with their pick. It wasn't a day later that some politician person was asked if it bothered him people didn't vote. And that sob said no, it tells us that they trust us to pick the best for them.
So I started to vote. Lynden had said pick anyone, like a third party. It shows them you DON'T like their picks. He said not to worry cause no third can get it either.
I also found out, don't do write ins. They are discarded and only counted if they get a certain amount of votes/percentage. Donald Duck doesn't get counted unless a ton write him in. What bull. Yeah, free elections.
That wrestler got in as Gov in Minnesota, I think? And he was doing a great job. And then quit because they started to pick on his family. He said he was fair game but when they went after his family, that was it. They could all go to H.
We have the oldest congress in history right now. Wow! And people over 70 are not able to find jobs because they are thought too old.

Thank you. He isn't my husband. We will never marry..too independent for that. He lives 60 miles away and calls and shows up when he wants to spend a couple days. Right now he is re-making my 49 Chevy 3100. He missed his calling for sure. That is one thing that links us..classic cars. Only he has more than me by a couple dozen. I never got into the "collectibles". Bought a couple plates I liked, couple beanie babies I thought cute. Now I see the rip off they are. Re-sales have plates for a couple bucks. I saw the ENTIRE collection of red glass dishes from Avon someone had bought. Probably $400 worth. And at a song. I picked up 2 bowls, one cup and 2 plates cause I liked them when they came out. Probably the woman died and family tossed that "junk"
I can't stand car shows now that fill with fart poppers. Argh..what do you mean...a 2000 car is a classic!?

Why is it?

Oh I keep going. Nothing else to do. I just know that what I like, do, create, value...will mean little to anyone else. My guy is the same mind as me. He talks about he wishes for a big bodyshop/garage. And says at this age why. So someone else can enjoy it? Or tear it down.
I have been to tons of auctions and re-sales. See stuff passed down go for pennies cause the inheritors view it as trash. Like 4 applique, new, gorgeous quilts I pulled from a load going to the dump. Granny made one for each grandkid and they tossed them out as junk. Go in re-sales and see creations of hand made stuff..tossed aside cause who wants that junk in THEIR home.
It is just at this age, it is hard to be enthusiastic anymore. Do to please self and hope just MAYBE, someone will care.
I did a southwest mural for my boss. When she sold the house after he died, the realtor made her repaint everything to white. That is what sells. If I knew a mural had been destroyed, I would have said you know what you can do with that house. I did murals for the neighbor..all painted over. The basement one because the son wanted the room painted black!
I guess it is called the doldrums. Yep..reading is a good escape. But, there are times that even that can be too much. When someone you love is ill, the only thing you want to do is sit and watch them. Like if you take your eyes away, they will leave you. Been there.
Rendezvous is this weekend. And it will be 95. So this is a year I will skip.
Like the song..is that all there is? Then lets keep dancing. Its just the dancing gets slower and slower.

RE: This WEATHER!

I had weather like I have seen for 73 years. Spring was the normal rains,. then went to drought. So I thought back to the past when we had a 5 YEAR drought. Heavy rains were nothing like the ones where my field were under water all summer.
Heat..yep. Last week 3 days near a hundred. Broke the record set in 1948! I remembered living in the farmhouse, laying upstairs in bed, bare of anything cloth. Both windows open and the little fan blowing and trying to sleep. Or as a child listening to the fan in my PARENTS bedroom. Or putting up hay in blistering heat.
Right now it is partly cloudy and 75 F.
There is the saying...dont like the weather? Wait five minutes, it will change.
I pin hopes on El Nino. Right now 60 % chance of it forming. And if it does, I can hope for a warmer winter. As opposed to the blizzards and minus 35F I saw growing up.
I am a farmer. So weather is what I get. Like it or lump it. And am lucky to live in the middle of Wisconsin which seems to avoid lots of bad weather.
But, it will be weather..whether I like it or not.

The issue is the fact that we all were lied to about covid. And those in power of any kind had to decide their stance on the info fed them and what they believed.
I am surprised at Trumps pic. When one gets a mug shot, I believe there are rules as to chin up, look straight ahead, profile, etc. Yet Trump got away with taking a pic that he didn't end up with 12 chins and could look mean and strong. Right on man!
He gains because people are wising up to how politics are played. One side get trashed, the other skates.
Right now the CDC states the new covid variation ignores past infections AND VACCINES!. Yet Biden says everyone should get the new shot. Then wants a couple bill to invent a NEW vacc. Make up your mind! Whats left of it anyway.
Then Biden says run and get the shot no matters what previous ones you got or didn't. And the CDC says no unless you had previous. So run and get those ten shots first?
It is so easy to point fingers while hiding the other hand behind ones back.
And once more, elections gets to chose between the jerk and the jackass. Not vote for the good one.
