Sorry for your loss Didi hope you and your siblings are doing well and ARE cherishing each other. Sometimes after loss in a family many families do knit/bond better together, however sometimes after a loss especially the death of the mother, the family chain is broken ... understandable too as mothers are the links that keep us together, unfortunately a sad reality of life for some.
My youngest sister died just before Christmas, one of my biggest regrets is I didn't nag her less and cherish her more so I completely agree with you ... we should cherish each other more
May I throw in, we should hug more also as well.
After saying all that, I've decided my living youngest brother is dead to me, shall remain so forever more till he is.
Before you say it or ask me YES" I'm one of those who does not always practice what she preaches.
And a good afternoon to you Ms Jones seems the site has been around longer than I thought ..... should we be worried though when we see ourselves becoming part of its furniture
"surely we can come up with something better than boring old sadness"
Really Butch, boring old sadness... A comment like that doesn't even deserve a reply but what I will say, I find your cold heartless remark in very bad taste
Interesting topic Didi where for many I'm sure it is about fear, and for all reasons you have mentioned but I don't believe that's what it's about for all. Having lost loved ones of mine, each knowing their time here was close to being over, well" through minding them caring for them and REALLY listening to them, I believe what death is all about is not fear but sadness instead, how hard it is and must be for them who must let go and say goodbye to life and all the loves they leave behind....
Those who love us most are hardest on us, for reasons you have given.... you need a good shake man if you really believe that. Now if you were referring to parents and children it would be entirely different but between lovers/partners tut-tut no can do, well not in my books anyway...JMO.
I think Ms Jones, you may of misunderstood me a bit..... because off lock downs we never met, but lets say, our phones were busy alot... when the time came to meet something happened and that was the end of that .... the shortest love story ever told
Or you pushed them away.....Nah Ninu, I don't buy that I think alot of people use that line as an excuse for giving up and not trying hard enough to hold onto and keep someone they care for or love.
Good for you Ms Jones and long may it continue my view is not a personal one on you just onne in general on love and relationships ... the way I see it, if anythings worth having, its worth keeping as well.
And who may I ask are the rolling stones? they must of been a bit before my time obviously they were useless if they had so many girls screaming at them.
Encounters yes but nothing ever became anything special .... did meet one chap last year and we had the makings unfortunately life got in the way so now I'll never know.
Did I miss something???
Why thank you leebut I don't half wear it as well as yourself ...
