The Eucharistic Congress was an extraordinary event in our religious life, Christian people gathered from all over the world, and of course not only Catholic but Protestant believers too,- so all Christian churches. It was good and uplifting feeling we are together, we all are brothers and sisters in love and in God. It is an even more important meeting in these times when a lot of Christian people suffer from atrocity or killed just because of their faith. Sadly the secular world is sometimes not tolerant towards Christian communities...
This world meeting took 5 days, and one of the nicest part was when we walked along Budapest streets peacefully and quietly with candles in our hands to gather for the mass that was celebrated by the pope.

It was also a great honour that the Pope visited our country, and he summarized at the end that Hungary is a country where most of the people want to live in families, want to have children, and get a lot of support from our present conservative government to ensure that.

You are completely right, and these fact you tell about are really very tragic and a big danger for the human civilization. We in East-Central Europe - especially in Hungary and Poland also can see this menace, this is a world war...

What does usually happen after midnight in your country?


In Hungary there is a tradition after midnight in the new year that the radio stations and televisions display our Hungarian anthem. After it people usually dance in a good mood in their flats, etc. In the picture we can see the Parliament in Budapest.

@ Sugplum - I also got the third shoot: Pfizer. The first two were Sputnik. I am still alive!
None of them caused problem for me, and I feel more safe.

I also can send a unique , a Hungarian lyrical pop song from the 60's.
As the text is not English, I can summarize the theme that is about poetical love, faith to each other, the boy writes letters for the girl whom he loves, and promisses he will return soon. It was very romantic , even if the letters came sometimes slowly, and we waited for the postman. :) However, I think the melody of the song is the determining musically.
