RE: Is Fear the Real Virus?

@bohemund

No, my refusal is not to be drawn into your arguments about politics.. You presume by my silence that I "square allegiance to the Left" ?????????? Are you for real or maybe you are my brother Prince Puppycorn ,and we all know what happened to him don't we.laugh

I was taught never to judge a book by it's cover and seeing as you have no idea what my personal book is all about, don't make presumptions either.scold

RE: Anecdotes from Military Life, Part Deux

Morning from the UK Bohemund

One of my all time favourite war films was The Victors by Carl Foreman a British /American collaboration

It's coverage of the futilities of war by the armed forces is heart-breaking in my opinion.

Unsung heroes

Hi Jac,

Think all my motley crew have shares in the Rainbow bridge, and my coffin will be a tad full too.hug

RE: Anecdotes from Military Life, Part Deux

Hi Grandwave

Your comment re the Germans reminded me of the film The Great Escape with Steve Mcqueen. I often wondered what the fate of the German Officer was who was released from command of the concentration camp.

Good and bad in everyone's heart even during wartime.

Unsung heroes

Morning Jac,

We don't have to look far from home do we ,and as for pets I've just lost my bestie to liver cancer and am so lost without her .Such a special rescue dog.crying

Unsung heroes

Hi Fargo,

Yes I am aware of the fact .Hence my comment on him in particular.handshake

RE: It's been a VERY long day!

Hi Philipsenwave

I've had both and experienced a small amount of discomfort . It soon passed though.

I recall having a flu jab many years ago which really affected me far worse than this vaccine.

Good luck with your move.handshake

Unsung heroes

@Rose

Plenty of unsung Champions on here . Even a few wonder horses.grin

Jane Leeves played Daphers not just the voice.

Who's shrunken inches were you referring to.laugh

RE: hotel quarantine ...

Quarantine-free travel is allowed to "green" countries, while 10-day isolation periods at home are required for those returning from "amber" destinations, but a 10-day quarantine period in a hotel is mandatory for those coming back from "red" countries.

Would you have the rules changed so that all and sundry can come into any country and be free to walk around. dunno

RE: No one divorces a dog

@ Respect

Isn't this blog a contradiction to your other one where you declared you had a fantastic marriage confused confused confused

Just as a matter of interest animals love unconditionally, most humans don't.

RE: Mice Invasion

Just watching this on U.K. television.

RE: So all my Astrazeneca reactions so far...

@ Fargo

Though I am not enamoured with our Government persay, I do think that they finally picked up and our vaccine service across the board has been good.

I've had both shots of Pfizer and with no repercussions.handshake

RE: INDIA TODAY

@Grand

The problem is the lack of oxygen which is vital for infected lungs ,and the Government have failed to respond to the crisis within a failing infrastructure.sigh

RE: INDIA TODAY

Hi miclee

It beggars belief the possibility that India will take over from China as the most densely populated country within the next decade.

RE: INDIA TODAY

@ jac

India has developed much over the years and it may well be a rich country but it's inhabited by poor people.

When you consider that it's population represents almost 18% of the World's population the mind boggles.sigh

RE: INDIA TODAY

I watch the news daily and my heart breaks at the despair of India's people.

So sad to see a country on it's knees.crying

Animal cruelty

@ swamie

Now I feel guilty as I've just had a pork and cider casserole. If I'd known you could have had a platter with me but the leftovers went into the blender for soup.sigh

Animal cruelty

@ Rosehip

As per usual you have taken my comments personally. Where have I mentioned names ?. All I did was read your blog and did not feel the need to comment on it as this problem you raised is also an issue in other countries including the U.S.A .and this led me to address other issues regards animal cruelty.

You it seems can rant to your heart's content and everyone must listen, but let others dare to have an opinion and you come down on them like a ton of bricks.

I'm not in the least bit interested if my blog goes unread as you have so kindly pointed out, I just shared my personal view point which has obviously rattled your cage.talk to hand

RE: Well Done England For Treating Covid-19 As a "Flu"!

@Pat

They did with Spanish flu. Frankly not a great deal of difference as that killed millions too.sigh

RE: Happy as a Pig in Palestine

RE: Euthanasia...

@ Chat

Sad news indeed when you tried to help this creature. However I have to say that I would prefer any animal to be relieved of excessive pain and not left to suffer if there is no hope of recovery and the outlook is one of pain and suffering.

I have had to make many decisions regarding my pets welfare over the years and very rarely had any die of old age sad to say. Us humans have the same problem but unfortunately not the same choice though we do now have Dignitas in Switzerland ,though not without consequences unfortunately.

If there is no quality of life and continued pain do you not consider that a reason to put an animal out of it's misery, as they are unable to tell us so rely on their human pals to do the right thing for them.sad flower
