RE: World Giraffe day.

Here at Longleat a massive safari park 30 miles from where I live there are Rothchild giraffes that are breeding as they are becoming extinct with very few in the wild now.

One giraffe is over 22 years old has fathered 29 calves and has 5 grand kids. Here he is with his carrot Birthday cake.

RE: Such a beautiful write.

Hi Ladywave

This got me thinking so here's my response in my own words.

Just breathe

When life comes along and ties you in knots
Don't even think of joining the dots
The gaps in our lives are there for a reason
As we pass along from season to season

Our hearts are quite fragile or so it would seem
So easy to fall for that wonderful dream
But take a deep breathe before you move on
Is the path steady that you walk upon.

So go with the flow and swim with the tide
You've nothing to fear and nothing to hide
Take what life offers if you feel it is wise
It may even offer a special surprise.

RE: I Believe

Morning from the U.K. Luke.wave

Don't mock the office worker. A long day at work involving just thinking can feel terribly exhausting, often similar to a day full of physical exertion. While many think it's only in their head, new study has discovered that it’s a real thing.

Both physical and mental workers are worthwhile people doing a job.handshake

Hello Red hug

You still bird watchingdunno Our fly past cafe is still in business .grin

RE: Piece's of us.

Being at the fairground is fun I agree but we all have to come down to earth and realise that not everyone has our best interests at heart.

It's easy to fall in love but it's extremely hard to fall out and try to pick up the pieces.

There are many on here that have been on a roller coaster ride ,some lucky enough to enjoy it and others that have been thrown off. Like any dating site it's a game of chance until people actually meet . Talk is cheap and actions speak so much louder than words..handshake

RE: Boris the spider

As Covid bereaved families will comment his "legacy" will be one of lies and self interest. It also takes the heat from his "honours list" most of whom were involved in Partygate.

Guess the decision was a no brainer from a no brainer.sigh

RE: What Will This Summer Bring?

Hi Track,

Just rescued a Turkish angora cat who was abandoned for years and lived under a shed. Her only way of survival was living off whatever she caught so she became a prolific hunter. I'm told she became pregnant and raised a family too. She's 15 now and an indoor cat but still hates being handled and is still very nervous of humans.

After 3 months Lily is playing with toys and walks around in front of me but darts for safety if I move. It's a built in instinct for cats to be predators and yes they do cause some damage to the environment but they too are prey out in the wild. It's called nature for a reason.

The first image is Lily when rescued and the second is now. Such a difference.

RE: Bakhmut has fallen.

I've read so much on this since Feb 24th.2022. Those who support Putin and those who support Ukraine will never agree for sure but let's face facts shall we.

N.A.T.O did not attack Russia ,neither did Ukraine. Russia attacked Ukraine. What it hoped to achieve has been totally lost since starting this war.

Taking sides and making issues as to who is right or wrong will not change the facts that thousands of innocent people have died and lost their homes . The World economy has been affected and people are dying of starvation in parts of the World due to sanctions.

All this has done is cause division across the World . Why do countries and yes politicians feel they need to be in charge and dictate to others on how they should live. Have we learned nothing from 2 World Wars.

Please don't try to dictate your doctrines to me ,I'm not interested. All I care about is a peaceful world and for it's occupants to start to live in harmony and work together instead of tearing each other apart.

RE: Example of how MSM works.

Did you read the document I posted?

Seeing both sides of a coin is relevant in so many cases and Oxy expressed herself well.

Fox News just forked out a fortune for printing false news .Welcome to the world of media.

Do you honestly believe that anyone could stop this slaughter in Ukraine in 24 hours.

Putin has sat on this since 2014 then decides to attack when Trump is out of the way.

Makes one wonder just what goes on behind the political curtain.

handshake

RE: Example of how MSM works.

This is an interesting read. Seems to appear unbiased and looks at both sides of this conflict which is basically what I have tried to do,but with so many for or against it's hard to sit on the fence for fear of being pushed by some hard core posters.

RE: Imminent extreme alert...

Keep up. They started testing last year.grin

RE: TRUMP REFUSES

So who have you got in mind Lukeon. Trump stated he would end the war in 1 day if in in office. Is that even feasible or would he sacrifice Ukraine to Russia.?

Trump needs to remember that people are dying in Ukraine to protect themselves from a Russian takeover and just how far would Putin go if he did win the war. Which country would be his next target.?

I have read on here about the corruption of Biden ,Trump etc etc but what about Putin and his accumulated wealth. He surely didn't save up his wages from being President of Russia to become one of the richest men in the World . grin

Amendment as highlighted to my original post.

RE: Netherlands to broaden euthanasia rules to cover children of all ages

Whilst I totally understand your belief in Buddhism I am at a loss to understand how a mantra can resolve the issues of anyone dying in agony. Does it relieve the suffering or is it just good for the soul. ? Is that your version of the last rites as in Christianity?

Also if people are compos mentis and choose to end their lives at places such as Dignitas does that make them guilty of a crime.

This is an extremely delicate subject as you well know and thankfully something that I have never or hope never to have to deal with .How long do you consider keeping a life support machine going as it would appear from comments you would consider that wrong as it would be the medical profession making the decision .

Where does one draw the line.sigh

RE: OH NO NO NO

It could be that the chicks had already gone down the chimney hence the cowl. Did wonder if the chimney was still in use. Nests in chimney can cause a lot of damage unfortunately even house fires.

RE: Netherlands to broaden euthanasia rules to cover children of all ages

Terminally ill is the operative word Ken when life expectancy is 6 months or less. Would you really want a child to suffer inconceivable pain when you wouldn't let an animal suffer. Hard choice agreed .
