RE: Not Sure If I'm Confused

Your word not mine. Seems you are as ignorant about animals as you are humans.grin

RE: Why are almost all ships considered 'female'?

Great poetic justice to all females.

My take on the reason:-They are vessels that carry and support as are most women.handshake

RE: Watches

Emporio Armani purchased for my Birthday almost 20 years ago. Still going strong though costs a fortune to have cleaned so I'm letting it run it's course and batteries don't last as long but at £6 for a replacement every 6 to 8 months it's a lot cheaper than a £150 clean

RE: Enlarged Prostate...

Enlarged prostate is usually connected to a hormonal problem and can be kept in check with meds, but it's really not something to ignore as it can lead to cancer.sigh

RE: Americans that are not afraid of Truth... I SALUTE

I posted the link from the Guardian as you had already stated that Bakhmut was surrounded so was asking YOU what YOU believed .

My sympathies have and always will be for the victims of war on both sides not the countries .

RE: Americans that are not afraid of Truth... I SALUTE

Well it appears not the Russians as they lean towards the West for whatever reason. I'm not about to go out there and hold a census though.handshake

RE: Americans that are not afraid of Truth... I SALUTE

Seeing as I'm anti war I'm hardly likely to lash out at you so no need to run or even duck Lukeon.grin

RE: Americans that are not afraid of Truth... I SALUTE

Propaganda is a two sided coin Lukeon so are we to believe all the "news" that comes out of Russia.dunno

Vladimir Rudolfovich Solovyov is a Russian TV presenter and propagandist. He has been an anchor on the television show Evening with Vladimir Solovyov on Russia-1. In March 2022, You -tube blocked his channel "Solovyov Live".

He lost the plot when it was mentioned that his sons were draft dodgers, both supposedly in London. Fact or fiction ,who knows.

His own lavish lifestyle is on hold too which must rattle his cage as is Putin's to be honest.sigh

RE: Americans that are not afraid of Truth... I SALUTE

Seeing as Russia offered and sold Alaska to the U.S. I'd say not a lot to be honest.grin

RE: Americans that are not afraid of Truth... I SALUTE

Trumpety Trump who stood up and said " I can end the war in one day"

Do me a favour.doh

When he puts his party above his own interests then he just might be believable. His legal wrangles over his dubious finances could also lead to criminal charges. America needs young blood with vision not a continuation of O.A.Ps. and someone who can unite not divide if they really want to "Make America great again"

His inflated ego is beyond belief to be honest.sigh

Now feel free to call me an idiot for having an opinion.

RE: Locks in the forums...

Think there might be a case of selective viewing as the music threads are all there ,and there are many on here that keep going even though it's mainly the OP that posts on them .

dunno

RE: Was the regime change in 2014 a coup?

My sentiments too and this is how I have felt since this invasion. As this war rages on it's gone far beyond who is right or wrong.

We have a World more divided , country against country,a much higher cost of living pushing millions onto the bread line ,yet some people posting "We're all right Jack"doh

The real threat for me is the possibility of a nuclear war if the U.S and Russia don't resolves their issues. Will Putin be content with a win in Ukraine or could he causes issues with other countries in Europe. Just where does the buck stop Lukeon. The world would be so much better if the entire human race worked to progressing ourselves to new levels.

Will this war resolve issues, will there be winners? I doubt it frankly.sigh

RE: Was the regime change in 2014 a coup?

Funnily enough I did see this on an" unherd" video with Sachs being interviewed about this.

So hard to imagine but when truth speaks lies collapse and really makes you question what kind of a World we live in Lukeon.

RE: Was the regime change in 2014 a coup?

Morning from the U.K.wave

Whatever the decision it was for Ukraine not to remain under Russian influence as it was not what the people wanted.

I posted this article elsewhere with regards Yanukovych and it would seem that if Russia defeats Ukraine Putin will put him back in office. Speaks volumes.

RE: Good or Bad?

No England Lukeon.wink

RE: Good or Bad?

I don't read your blogs but will question whether this new " currency change" will actually take place having read through a recent article in the Financial Times. Unable to post link as you have to be a subscriber to read it but this is a small quote.

Quote " The most recent IMF data puts China’s share at 73 per cent (72 per cent if South Africa is wedged in). Since 2003, the Brics share of global output at market prices has risen from 8.4 to 25.5 per cent. Of this 17.1 percentage point rise, China accounts for 14 points. It would be unkind but not obviously unfair to note the resemblance with the likely-apocryphal Enver Hoxha quote that “Together, the Albanians and the Chinese are a quarter of the world’s population”.Unquote

RE: Good or Bad?

What’s really changing now is the rest of the world no longer seeks to emulate the West – this is indeed the tipping point.

Sad to watch a World divide itself in such a manner.sigh

RE: Friday Again

Could the horrors of the earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on Monday together with the combined humanitarian efforts be the sticking plaster needed to destabilise the diplomatic rifts? Yes it’s complicated. but surely not impossible.

Brussels controls the E.U and NATO has the military power but can they contain the great power surge now taking place.

Sad World that's for sure.sad flower

RE: Friday Again

It truly is for some of us but when one considers the deaths in Syria and Turkey that are not man made in comparison to the ones in the Ukraine war that are,one day is the same as another unfortunately.sad flower

Hi galrads,

It's called "controlling" ,nothing more nothing less, and it's the same bloggers that do it so it actually speaks volumes.sigh

Some people also don't like the truth, especially if interferes with their own version.wink

RE: Am I gone bonkers

Replacing comfort with thishug So sorry.grin

RE: Am I gone bonkers

Well you're a hoot that's for sure comfort

Here you go.......

Much like AI is taught to identify patterns and objects recognised by humans, the team at the University of Iowa discovered pigeons rely on a repetitive, trial-and-error approach.

Tests saw each pigeon shown a stimulus, each showing a different pattern, which the pigeons then had to categorise - by pecking one of two buttons.

They had to do so based on characteristics like line width, line angle, and how the patterns were arranged. A correct answer yielded a tasty pellet, but an incorrect response yielded nothing.

Eventually, the pigeons memorised enough of them to score almost 70%.

RE: Am I gone bonkers

This made me coo grin

RE: A place of rest, disturbed.

Desecrating or vandalism of graves is not uncommon unfortunately . Ask the caretakers if they have had issues in the past when you speak with them.

Maybe, just maybe ,he is telling the truth, but you know him best of course.handshake
