RE: A place of rest, disturbed.

Hi Celtic

I got to wondering what you Sister would be thinking about this as she looks down on her siblings. Did she have a good relationship with him?

As for the tablet I would be asking around from the Council or whomever manages the cemetery if they can cast any light on it.

I understand where you are coming from especially as you are still coming to terms with her loss but try not to let it eat away at you . Forgive but don't forget.hug

RE: Body cam... what a great invention.

Hi Chat,

As long as they are not doctored to suit someone's agenda which can and has happened.handshake

RE: “Arthritis” ......

Thanks for the invite and caring but I personally don't need it.hug

RE: “Arthritis” ......

I do understand where you are coming from but in English the word cure means, apart from helping to heal , getting rid of. This is why I commented as I did.

Treatments are wonderful for alleviating pain but they cannot "cure " some problems and we have to be careful when we talk of"curing "something for fear of people taking the written word literally.handshake

RE: “Arthritis” ......

No, Ayurveda cannot cure arthritis completely. However, Ayurveda has numerous treatments for arthritis and its symptoms to reduce the pain the discomfort. By adopting a healthy lifestyle, diet, and treatment regime, arthritis can be controlled and that is what it can do but it is not considered to be a cure.

We have Ayurveda clinics in this country to assist people with pain management but Ayurveda does have side effects so one needs to be aware of these also.handshake

RE: “Arthritis” ......

There is no cure for arthritis. The treatment goal is to limit pain and inflammation and preserve joint function as it can be a very debilitating condition and cause immobility in some cases, and even children can suffer with Rheumatoid arthritis which can cause irreparable damage.

Amyloidosis[ kidney malfunction.] is also a secondary condition of Rhematoid arthritis. People who already have amyloidosis and then develop arthritis may have to go on dialysis for life if a replacement joint is required. My friend is just about to go through this as she needs a knee replacement.

Treatment options include medicines, weight reduction, exercise including physiotherapy and ,as a last resort surgery .Replacement joints are not always successful in some patients either.

So in all arthritis is a condition best avoided if possible.handshake

RE: One is wrong and the other isn't?

When was the Bank of England nationalised?

Although we were still privately owned, from the mid-19th century onwards we started to behave less like other private banks and more like a central bank. For example, we had a control of issuing banknotes in England and Wales - and taking responsibility for protecting the financial system.

We were nationalised by the government in 1946 due to our importance to the economy. Other central banks across Europe passed from private to public ownership around this time too.

RE: One is wrong and the other isn't?

Thank God for small mercies. Goodbye.wave

RE: One is wrong and the other isn't?

If that reference was in response to my comment no it's not figuratively speaking. Get yourself an education before commenting on the U.K. and who runs it.

Kings have been deposed by Parliament 9 times in past history.

RE: One is wrong and the other isn't?

You really do talk rubbish. The Crown has no stranglehold .

Parliament
The highest legislative authority in the United Kingdom. Made up of the House of Commons, House of Lords and the King (who is the UK's current hereditary monarch).

Crown
This is another way of referring to the monarchy - which is the oldest part of the system of government in this country. Time has reduced the power of the monarchy, and today it is broadly ceremonial. The current UK monarch is King Charles III.

RE: Not worth a share

Hi Celtic,

It's my brother's Birthday today ,though he passed away at 35 bless him. I was wishing him the best when his wife [ widow ] called me and this often happens to me.I think of someone and up pops that person or someone related to them and me. My brother is forever around me as he was in life so he is in heaven.hug

RE: IRANIAN HEAD SCARFS

Hierophant stands for tradition and convention. It can represent marriage in an arranged setup. It can also mean a teacher or counsellor who will help in learning / education of the querent.

So why on earth did you start a blog re Iranian women and head coverings.laugh laugh

RE: World’s first robot lawyer set to advise in court...WOW.

RE: If CS suddenly closed their site...

You do have a choice as to how much time you spend on here. It's called self control.grin

RE: SOFTIE…

Hi Didi wave

I'm soft when it comes to caring about others especially those in more need than myself. I help in my community wherever and whenever I can and my door is always open to anyone who wants a listening ear.

However I can and will stand up and be counted against anyone who dares to cross my path in a disrespectful manner.

Must be the Capricorn in me.

See post 14 for the first time that I replied to your original post. I'm responding because you decided to resurrect it.

Don't preach to me sunshine.scold

RE: 69 year old cancer patient granny begins 2 month jail sentence

Any self respecting person with cancer would not have gone there in the first place. She went there specifically with others to cause a problem and has pleaded guilty to causing disruptions.

Stop with the pity me posts .She knew exactly what she was doing as she is a known activist and travelled 5000 miles with her pals to be there.

Not the first time you have posted this to suit your cause and support your friend Trump.very mad

RE: Calling all Insomniacs (myself included, lol!)...

I'll do a swop with you as I love your islands and have been to Pitch lake . Lovely little souvenir huts on the way up. I loved it.

If you really fancy flying over from Trinidad and Tobago to spend a few nights on the South Downs then here's a link you can open to enter their competition.

For a chance to win a stay at the ‘Shleep Sanctuary’ with a guest of your choice register your interest at

I know where I'd rather be.grin

RE: Relationships

There have been several people on this site that have been at a distance yet managed a relationship and ,yes even married.

If you love someone enough then the World is your oyster, but it's not just about compatibility between two people ,it's being compatible with living in another country and leaving family behind, especially if children are involved.

Not something people should rush into but yes it can work with the right attitude and some give and take on both sides.handshake
