RE: Connecting Singles worked for me.

Well, I had a CS story at one time. It encompassed almost 6 years of our lives, then went south, as way of the dodo bird, and geese in winter. My heart is still in this winter, though I'm not paralyzed at the drop of her name anymore (finally). I am feeling like I can move on, because life and time moves forward, with or without us. This was a meant-to-be connection, but alas. I didn't have your luck PJL. You have an amazing story and a success that I don't. Happy for you. thumbs up

RE: Yellow Alert! A signal has been Detected

Very interesting, and many thought SETI was a waste of money... HA! the Signal was probably an imperial probe droid, and it's a good bet the Empire knows we're here.

RE: Been A Minute

Thank you Gypsy. And the same to you as well. sad flower

RE: Been A Minute

Yeah, this is the blog I saw yesterday. Huh... what do ya say to something like that? No more words. I have my own ordeal which hit us, 3 years ago to this very day. Not this same specific event you witnessed, but just as bad. Yeah, no more words.

Well, one word fits it: Sad. sigh

RE: By The Numbers

HAHAHA... it's like something keeps luring us back huh? laugh

RE: By The Numbers

I think I saw something about that from you in my yesterday's browsings... Yeah, but I've been gone for 12 years though Gypsy - back when Ali was growing his tomato farm, and Conrad was the go-to guru. I went by a different name then too. Wasn't sure if I would stick around this time, but we'll see. Good to see a CO local here.

Hmmm... What's that old saying? - If you can't charm them... Outwit them. grin

RE: By The Numbers

I have to say Gypsy, this is a very thought provoking post you came up with... Appreciated, and I am looking forward to reading all the other answers that others will come up with, since I am recently back from a very, very long absence from CS.

RE: By The Numbers

Hmmm... 46 is closer to 50 - (it is considered the start of the middle-age years, a wisdomic milestone, and usually is when one becomes a grandparent), as well as being one of the more valuable PGM's (Pd) in use of motor vehicles today; and is closer to Argentum.

...as 45 is only a halving (of 90, if we live that long) so it's not a whole since it takes 8 of them, nor is it a right angle since it takes two 45's to be horizontal or perpendicular. A lot of times, this is when mid-life crises starts for many people... tho it is a PGM (Rh) as well, and crucible are made.

I dunno gypsy... 46 might have more going for it, since it is more divisible. That's my food-for-thought huh?
