Pursuing one of my childhood dreams....

Gotta find out about the cost, then apply for a learners permit, then find a tutor. All in good time...Let's see what happens on day 2.grin

Btw, thanks for offering to show me how to post the selfies on here.hug

Preferential treatment?.........Hmmmn.

Still haven't figured out this mystery....hmmm

Pursuing one of my childhood dreams....

And even if I can get a truck to use privately, I'll still need to get some training...

Pursuing one of my childhood dreams....

Seriously, though , I didn't know that it was VERY costly but I was hoping to get some part time work with it (maybe,,,) later on. I'll still try to find out, and post the info as an update.

Pursuing one of my childhood dreams....

Oops again, I think I was right the first time.hmmm laugh

Pursuing one of my childhood dreams....

Oops, my bad math, make that 'get my Class 5 by 2024', not 2023.

Pursuing one of my childhood dreams....

Day 1 Update:
Based upon the research (online), I first have to apply for and acquire a Class 4 (Heavy Truck) license. After 1 year, I can then apply for a Class 5 (Extra-Heavy Truck) license. So, if I get the Class 4 by year's end, then Class 5 could be had by the end of 2023.

Sounds like a plan. Now to find a nearby Driving school to get details about the cost for tuition, days for training, etc.thumbs up

Attracting younger men…

Hi Merlot, yes, I've been told by many (over the years) that I look like a teacher, which I was, and yes, I did 'fancy' at least one of my male teachers....when I was about 7. grin Even when I was much older, it was more 'admiration' than outright attraction that I had for male teachers/lecturers.

Anyhoo, I don't really think that it's mostly a student/teacher thing (even though I've had students express a 'fancy' for me on a few occasions). I do believe it may also be the fact that I'm 'slim', 'petite' and a bit 'shy', which makes me appear much younger than expected.

Dealing with the CraZies....

That's what I eventually did bc! Thanks for the support.thumbs up

Attracting younger men…

Ok then...I've not had good 'results' going younger, that's why I'm resolved to stick with same age or older. So far, not so good...laugh

You're welcome GGhug

Attracting younger men…

"...having an intelligent, well educated man that I can learn from, lean on and visa versa when things are not great, somebody with a lot of experience of life is the real kernel, not somebody who is a trophy to go around with."

We definitely think alike GG...younger men can't easily fulfil that need, perhaps because they're still maturing and have may concerns about making a living, building a career, starting a family, etc. A retired or aged professional may have already experienced and achieved all that, and have learned a lot that helped mould them into more stable, wiser men (hopefully).

See you when I see you, girl.wine bouquet

Attracting younger men…

RE: Indian cooking.... rice and dal....

laugh I know just what you mean DL.

RE: Indian cooking.... rice and dal....

Seems as though our East Indian settlers or maybe their descendants, may have gotten the names mixed up a bit. Even so, "Dahl and rice" will always be a popular and tasty dish in T&T.thumbs up wine

RE: Indian cooking.... rice and dal....

Here's what we call "pigeon peas" :

RE: Indian cooking.... rice and dal....

Hi teena, will try to find online and upload a pic of the "split peas".

RE: Indian cooking.... rice and dal....

A very popular 'dish' among our mixed-race population, the peas of choice being what we call "split peas".thumbs up wine

Would that be the same as what you call "cow peas"?

The Birdwatcher from 2020....

I certainly hope so. NatGeo usually produces really good documentaries, so I'd think that his show would be just as interesting.cheering
