It is good for people to be straightforward, but I also believe that I could be forthright WITHOUT being abrasive. I usually save the 'abrasiveness' for times when others seem not to respect or appreciate me/my efforts.
Well G, I have standards, but I don't think that they're so high or unreasonable that someone who's interested wouldn't take the time to read what's on my profile. Even if he doesn't read all of it at the same instance, but makes an effort throughout the day or week, that says (to me) that he's interested in finding out about me BEFORE, or even WHILST chatting with me.
When I get a "Hi"/"Hello", I reply first but go to the person's profile to read all that I could find about him. CS offers us profile pages with specific content for good reasons.
I believe that that is true about most men (based on my experiences), but that's their loss. And, that is a red flag for me because it gives me some insight into the focus and intent of the men that ask me for answers that are already evident in my profile. It makes it reeaaalll easy for me to ignore them and move on.
It’s not only WHAT you say, but also HOW you say it…
