Most of what you say is true Friendship, but marrying someone for their money isn't my idea of "marrying up". I really prefer quality, more than quantity, and I know that there are others who think the way that I do. So, just as what I'm worth isn't about money, I consider the same of others (even if they may think otherwise of me).
Of course you are (especially in God's sight)!. Some people think that if you think that way, then you're being 'elitist' or just 'full of yourself', but knowing your true worth is actually a happy, yet humbling experience...or should be.
I guess 'public figures' should expect public invasion of their privacy? That's one of the reasons why it's difficult for them to find 'real love'; most people just 'love' them (wealthy people like him) for their money because that's all they (potential mates and money grabbers) think they're worth.
But then, even the 'not-so-poor' can't find it.....
Sorry about your distress, but I hope you recover well. A friend of mine had her retina become detached years ago (during a fight with her then husband), and due mainly to the consistently high pressure in the eye, she eventually lost her sight. Perhaps if she had had better specialist care, it would not have happened.
"Now holidays just are work no one sees so who cares.yawn"
Not for everyone is it work though. I think that all the traditional activities - cooking and baking, cleaning and polishing, decorating and gift wrapping, etc - makes it so. I just try to enjoy all that's good and available.
And what would happen to my Sweetie pie indeed! Fret not! I wouldn't look good in prison garb, nor appreciate the restrictions, so no shoplifting for me.
I retired at 56 because I was tired, and stressed and didn't like the 'mandate' that our government had forced upon public service employees to be vaccinated (Covid). I had intended to work from home offering private tutoring and related services (which I was doing before the vaccine mandate). I have stopped doing so for the while, as I'm hoping to move to a new home soon.
As for finding part time work, I've been looking but work-from-home options are somewhat 'slim' at the moment. Going out to work is a possibility, but 'half time'? Not sure what kind of work I'd find. However, that's still a viable option.
How much are you worth?
Based upon what I've heard about "Heard", probably not.
