RE: Making plans for the USA! (part 4)

Like this?

RE: Halloween past

I have such fond memories. smitten

We were quite poor but I remember when I was very young my father nicked an apple and we had so much fun with it on Halloween. He placed it in a bowl of water and we tried for about an hour but just couldnt bite it. Then he tied it to the ceiling light and again we tried to bite it but eventually gave up.
But the best part was when he sliced it into eight pieses and we all got a piece. yay

Those we're the days. rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Making plans for the USA! (part 4)

Well done kid, that gif does it for me. thumbs up

RE: If it's not broken... don't (try to) fix it.

I heard that it's not a good idea to always install O/S updates because sooner or later one will be too advanced for the hardware and will inhibit it's performance and sometimes you can't go back. Another reason not to fix/improve something that is working. Maybe check this out first, I don't know but I never update phones after 3 or 4 years.

RE: Herschel Walker’s memory loss...

That was entertaining. laugh

RE: Divine intervention or just luck?

It's called peace of mind.
You appeared to be bothered by it so you had probably already considered some of the potential problems that could arise, but that's why I pointed out the possibility that occurred to me.
Just looking out for you that's all.

Sometimes you hear people saying things like "I wish I thought of that". Well, my job is done, I can rest easy.
There is a 50/50 chance that the guy is good or bad.
Either he copied the keys or he did not.
Only you were in the situation to observe and judge events, the information we had was sketchy. Things like, can your door be seen from the bus stop, did you see the guy actually working on the road. And of course his demeanor.

Where is Mrs Bucket when you need her. laugh

RE: IRANIAN HEAD SCARFS

A few decades ago women had to wear head scarfs in the catholic church and men had to remove their caps.
I don't know what the punishment was for an infraction of this rule.

RE: Divine intervention or just luck?

Here's a farfetched idea.

The bloke picked your pocket, took your keys.
He copied your keys.
Then he gave them back to you so that you wouldn't change the locks.

The story is just too perfectly co-incidental.

RE: Today is national grand parents day

I knew one wonderful grandma. I still remember her fondly. One Papa on the other side who was a gentle giant to me at 6yrs of age. Didn't meet the others.

RE: A Short Apology

If a blogger asks a question and it's clear that they want a reply then if people take the trouble to reply one would expect they would be acknowledged for their input. To reply in this case would be expected and would be considered good manners.

A question can also be implied, for example after describing a difficult experience the blogger went through they might say that they would love to know how to get their lives back on track. This is not a direct question, no question mark, but it really is a question that pulls at the heart strings of decent caring folk, so they put some thought into it and take the time to reply. The blogger also now has the benefit of that information but doesnt acknowledge the commenters input. Is that fair?

Also sometimes the story can simply move people to respond and offer advice or give valuable information without a question being asked or implied, but again some bloggers might benefit yet not respond.

Kids these days can get away with a lot, But Adults still acting like kids and feeling justified?

Have I covered everything here?

Just reply, be nice. rolling on the floor laughing

Goodnight CW. wave

RE: The soul keeper

It just occurred to me that nothing can exist on this earth without weight. Everything that is here responds to gravity.

RE: The soul keeper

It's interesting all right, but not something I know anything about.

RE: The soul keeper

I gave the breath as an example of something that doesn't appear to have weight yet it does as can be seen in the trees. The trees are partly made up of the carbon dioxide from our breath which shows that our breath does have weight. So maybe the soul does too. thumbs up

Ok I'll change my pic. laugh

RE: The soul keeper

Hi CW, I'm commenting here so no need to do so on the other blog.
On the basis that we don't know if the soul has weight I will keep an open mind.
Even our breath has weight, just look at the trees around us. wink
My photo, I had a clearer one up but I thought it was scaring people off. laugh

RE: Lame emails!

Maybe you could be more specific in your profile or headline "Seeking my St.George". That should scare the unworthy.

RE: Bored As All Get Out

Best advice is do things now even if you aren't motivated. You Will look back in 10 years time and be disappointed that you didn't just do something.

That decade will be gone, then you are going to have to try in your 50's and that will be harder.

So yes your 40's can be great IF you make the effort.

If you were to travel somewhere for example there would be new experiences and opportunities. You know the rest.

Maybe start with the Titanic centres you will meet like-minded people.

RE: I know another Narcissist blog...but...

Add to that "Intermittent Explosive Disorder" and you have my ex to a T.

Reminds me of An improvised explosive device (IED).
