Incidentally, it is Independence Day down here. We commemorate finally winning our independence from our beloved British masters. Sadly, that happened after the island was essentially demolished during ww2 by the Germans and the Italian - thanks to them. We, being a rather insignificant island, had no beef with nobody.
But isn't the whole point of writing something to communicate? Most people have difficulty communicating with you this way. Why not lower the level a little but and make it simpler for us to follow you? Besides, music is regional and not everyone is as much into songs as you are.
Anyway, ultimately it is indeed your prerogative. I, for one, would love to see what you have to say.
On top of that, there's more to a job than the salary. Job security and satisfaction, easy of switching jobs and so on.
You know, ultimately, education changes your mindset. It's not as much as what you learn at University. It could be something as useless as political 'science' or art. It's the extra gears you gain in the process.
For example, I can compromise on anything in a potential partner (with the exception of the shape of her behind) but certainly not on the intellect. Sure enough, I've come across several women who did not have degrees and yet they had more brains than most, but even then, they were inevitably avid readers or 'informed' in some other way. Sitting flat on your behind behind the till of your little shop will make you a lot of cash alright but dumb you were, dumb you are, and dumb you'll remain.
1. 25,000 somewhere in asia may be quite a bit more than you and I have ever made. 2. Can't string a few words together? Is English their native language? They probably can write their own language a lot better than you and I put together.
I will never understand how people can justify voting for such an illiterate, demented, old codger to their kids, after having ruined their future.
A certain fellow once said 'the masses are feminine and stupid. Only emotion and hatred can keep them under control', and a glaring example of that is trump's base.
There is plenty of evidence to justify the assumption that life on this planet had 'humble' beginnings. From single RNA strands to perhaps DNA encapsulated in a lipid structure, to single cell organisms, and so forth.
Certainly, we are missing a few crucial pieces of the puzzle, but so far there really is no need to make such an outlandish and unlikely assumption as ancient astronauts; therefore, why should we? Now, if you stumble on a spacecraft which can be radiocarbon dated to 3.5 billion years ago, then we'll reconsider. Until then, however, there simply is no point. What do you think?
A compromise, of course. As usual. Struggle only for high returns. Say, a 1% struggle for a 200% improvement in the rest of your existence. I regret having worked hard and giving it my all for basically nothing of real value.
Yet, it's useless crying on spilled milk. It's now too late in the day to do anything about it and so it is for most of us on here. Doom and gloom you may call me, but if you, all of you, have a bit of a sit-down with yourselves, you may very well come to my same conclusions.
FargoFun does seem to have a point tough. I mean, I often find myself thinking that it is hard to read and understand your comments, if not impossible.
I don't think so actually. Animals in captivity are under stress and that kills the feeling. Basically, it apparently is hard to breed animals the natural way in captivity. It's probably why horses, cattle and even pigs are artificially inseminated. There might be other reasons. We need the input of a farmer here I suppose.
I wonder how much greenhouse gases the funeral of the queen is going to generate. I would have thought that the king, a well known environmentalist, wouldn't have approved.
Let us for a minute make the wrong assumption. Lets assume that Jesus was just a preacher. A rabbi like many others before, in, and after his days. Do you think he'd ever have imagined that he'd convince 1.9 billion Muslims and 2.4 billion Christians to follow his teachings (to some extent) in the 2 millennia subsequent to his death?
Quite an accomplishment, isn't it? Maybe there indeed is something special/unique about the guy.
Picking the one vs picking the ones? The third option is not to pick anyone at all. If people truly picked someone or a few, they'd settle in some sort of relationship, monogomous or otherwise. People don't do that anymore. It's an endless search for the perfect mate, which is of course a futile endeavour. So is life nowadays, very sadly speaking.
RE: My blog preferences...why should I?
Agreed. Not to listen, in particular to opposing arguments and view points, is simply not to learn.
