It's my birthday today. I am packing to move to another country - my kids are leaving for their summer vacation in South Africa, and I am not feeling too good today - but.. I am happy ! :))) Because ...there are soooo many things to be grateful for !
Well!! the existence of such a man who thinks of her in that way WHILE she is in a relationship, is probably enough to drive any man crazy :) I don't think it's healthy for any relationship - and she shold just go BE with that man shouldn't she...and dump the loser who keeps yelling at her. Otherwise - she seems like a flirt ...or am I wrong.. sorry but I could neve really see the wisdom in the above quote.
I know exactly what you mean .. I left the country 10 years ago and miss it terribly .. but I don't miss the crime or aftermath of Apartheid..
People will only understand what you mean by the sports event pulling everyone together in this way, and what it means to the locals if they are South African :)

A little research was done in India once - I saw it on CNN I think .. they took a small village as an understudy - and decided to help them out as they were very poor and not making ends meet. They decided to give a sum of money to the women only - not the men. this didn't go down well with the men who considered themselves to be more worthy of handling the money - it was an attack on male pride - but they had no choice - it was an added income and they had to conform, as part of the research. They found that women made the money stretch, as they tended to think like mothes and put the needs of the kids and family first. They invested it, in sewing machines and such equipment/tools, and made things .. and sold them, thus increasing their income. It was found that a lot of the money was gambled by men or spent on alcohol and that contributed to the family suffering. They often don't tell their wives or give the women any say in what happens to the money.
THis may not be evident in all societies - especially not where bags and shoes are weaknesses :)) But in most cases.. when there are children at stake, a mother's tend to budget.
Don't look so hard.. maybe she will find you. In the meantime, be useful, productive, happy... do things that you enjoy doing, and live life to it's fullest capacity. Waiting indefinitely is no fun...
You just have to fight back .. sometimes you have to take 10 steps backwards before making progress... I know it's hard to find the strength to cope sometimes. And if it was fate...then the people ruining things may be part of that fate actually materialising. You have all of us here on the forums dear.. Be strong.. just remember.. nothing lasts forever - and it's a tremporary situation. Just hang in there - and you have all of us in the forums on your side and we are rooting for you.
Let me explore the possibilities: (I am assuming you are talking about emails here on the site...)
1. They may not have the time to do so immediately. 2. Depending on the time zones - who you are messaging and where - remember that some people may even be 8-10 hours ahead/behind you. So when you message, they are sleeping, and have other things to do before they log on. 3. They may simply not be interested in replying, for various reasons: too many messages, or they just don't want to encourage something they are not interested in and won't actually come out and say it so as not to be rude. 4. There may be connection/technical issues
There may be more reasons but I just got busy :)
Maybe...you can give them some time... Those who want to reply.. will ...Don't worry about it too much though. At least you do what you think is right, and as long as it's not bothering the people you are messaging, because if it's annoying they also may not reply .. then feel free:)
Yeah .. why do they do that.. !!?? But you know.. it's better they do that now than later, when you have given all you have. And well - they lost out.. because it's so easy to meet other women on the internet - but all that glitters is not gold - eventually, sooner or later, they come back, and realise that they got hurt/played and can't find something tangible that will last forever.. Seems to happen more often than not....then he will miss you. But it would be too late.
If she's not with you then it just wasn't meant to be. I am hoping that this is just a poem simply exaggerating your feelings, and not true :) If you are angry, I am assuming she broke up or left you for some reason...She probably wasn't worth killing yourself over. You will overcome.. and live.. and love.. Keep the good.. and learn from the bad.. Someone will want your love badly enough.. oneday. But being with someone who has suicidal tendancies.. is scary - I would always be afraid that I would do something wrong to trigger it off, and then take a ride on a guilt-trip that was probably someone else's fault. Hope you don'tmind my comments - other than that.. it's just .. a sad poem .. but it was just too morbid for me today :) I am happy today :) No real reason.

Noticed you are from South Adfrica- me too - and we travelled from there actually, Cape Town)a few years before Nelson Mandela was released - at the time of global sanctions against the country :)))) It wasn't a good time for us to travel - we were always under suspicion for political activity :) Anyway homie - if you want to know more, feel free to mail me.
I went to some amazing galleries in France (Paris), Spain (Madrid and Barcelona), compared to most other countries. I just loved the French and Spanish galleries. and Italy (Rome). You may be able to fit 3 major cities in, and surrounding areas.... I suggest plan carefully, to save time and money and maximise your experience. I had backpacked Europe for seven weeks so there was plenty of time to visit most European countries. There is too much information to give :) And google will provide some nice info!
