Hello Fay. Good to see, that you are still among the living. Yeah, TX is not doing well either. Both states have a backwards governor, which is not a coincidence. They refuse to take the advice of pandemic scientists and thus, the Covid-19 numbers are significantly rising in those states.
Signing back into this place is like re-entering an old zoo that features bizarre animals. The animals haven't changed, but somehow it is still hard to believe, but oddly fascinating to see.
That's possible. It's also quite possible, that there were a lot of deaths due to Covid-19, that were unrecorded as such, because they happened before anyone knew what it was, or because there were no tests for it, or because they didn't test for it.
Unfortunately, Greg Abbott's term is not up for a couple of years. However, perhaps that gives the state ample time to find & get behind a more reasonable Texan.
This blog is about the CDC. Trump poisoned the country far more than any other president in our lifetime. If you deleted my comment in retort to your Biden comment on the grounds of it not having to do with the blog, it is only fair, that you delete your Biden one as well then.
Of course the guidelines change. This is done both as the scenario changes especially with numbers of infections, hospitalizations and deaths as they change. And also with the more we learn about this relatively new virus and it's even newer variants.
Good politicians of course take the advice of several of the top QUALIFIED pandemic experts, not some nutcase PA, who supposedly talks to "thousands of people per day" and made not only other false statements, but some that even violate common sense, like "people are going to get infected by breathing in the germs from their mask, because their mouth is the dirtiest part of the body." Moron ! Do you think if the germs came from that mouth and then were breathed in by that mouth, that they just might already be infected ? They are breathing in their own germs.
He's a BELIEVER of rubbish, certainly not a scientist, nor pandemic expert. Tell him to go back to taking temperatures and blood pressure readings for the doctor and shut up.
He's standing in the way..... of progress. Apparently, he doesn't care about the health of the people in Florida. Daily deaths from Covid-19 in Florida for the past 14 days is more than 68 per day, highest in the nation. What a governor ! I wonder if he has invested in funeral homes & crematoriums.
