I am proof of diversity in the USA; I don't like pizza and I don't like pumpkin pie. Never have. To me pumpkin pie tastes like what I would imagine eating dirt tastes like. I've never actually eaten dirt. So, I'm not sure. However, on two occasions much separated in time, I have sampled pumpkin pie. Each time one small bite was more than enough. I have no further interest in eating it. At Thanksgiving, I'll be reaching for the cherry, blueberry, or apple pies.
Thanks for your admission about you being a "misguided 'liberal' snowflake". Personally, I'm not into juvenile name labeling. But hey, when a person admits it about themself, who is to argue.
In reality, the data shows that fully vaccinated people are 6 times less likely to die from Covid-19 than the unvaccinated.
Unless someone intentionally infected you, you are responsible, because you put yourself in a situation that allowed yourself to get infected. You did not take adequate precautions to protect yourself from being infected. Vaccination is one step within the appropriate behavior, but it alone is insufficient to prevent infection, especially with regard to the newer variants.
I don't see this as "vaccine terrorism". Pfizer is trying to protect their financial interests where laws are different. The other countries have other vaccine options. They can take Pfizer's terms, or get vaccines from elsewhere. There is no "terrorism". No one is threatening the recipient if they don't take the terms.
And you're alive to talk about it. There are breakthrough infections. However, each Covid-19 vaccine you get increases the odds you will survive. Rather than be bitter that you got infected, be thankful you survived. That is the goal.
Yeah, after Don's worst US presidency in our lifetime, including the 30,000 lies in office, it pretty much is crazy to want him in any government office, especially the presidency. His next appropriate government position is more likely federal prison.
Plus, I don't know what goes on in your country, but in the USA, if you want a governor out of office, you vote them out, not kidnap them. That IS crazy !
I suppose that might be true. However, the ones I run into, especially on here, seem to be on the far right side. There seems to be a lot more on that side.
N - accusing me of being a Marxist AND having the supposed TDS. Two lies in the same sentence. Show me where I EVER applauded Karl Marx. There is not TDS. The correct term is deranged Trump, officially the worst US president in our lifetime. There is no syndrome, when more than 1/2 the nation understands what a terrible "so-called" leader he was.
e - That's the thing about pandemics. Once they get going, they are a lot harder to stop. Nipping them in the bud saves a lot of lives. Unfortunately, Trump lied about the virus and downplayed it, as well as argued against testing. As Birx's testimony stated, his terrible lack of proper leadership likely cost at least 130,000 USA lives. Biden inherited Trump's mess. He's been trying to get people vaccinated, but many have been misled to mistrust the vaccines. Plus, there are Republican governors fighting mandates in states where unvaccinated people are getting sick & dying from covid-19.
c - They seem to add themselves. However, is it new, or a sock puppet, too embarrassed to show their actual face ? There seems to be a lot of that on here.
We all witnessed Trump's ineptness and denials. We have the tape Bob Woodward made of his conversation with Trump. What Birx testified is the truth, whether you want to believe otherwise, or not. My advice is to stick with more credible news sources, so you are not as easily misled.
Regarding the Whitmer kidnapping plot, there has been no trial. One person pleaded guilty and the trial for the other 5 has been postponed. The defense is TRYING to argue for entrapment.
Regardless, the inclusion of FBI agents led to the plot not becoming a reality. The plot was foiled, not led.
A Happy Halloween
No problem. I once dated her.
