George Soros

I still haven't seen any commenter post their accomplishments to rival George Soros impressive list of accomplishments to the world.

It's sort of like a more familiar challenge regarding throwing of "the first stone".
Without that list, you are simply not qualified to make claims against him, nor are others,
especially without verifiable proof.

George Soros

There are others ways to advance society, if you are a doer, even if they don't compare to what Soros has done.

George Soros

IF you fully read the above, feel free to state YOUR accomplishments in advancing society for comparison purposes. grin

RE: For Pete's Sake...

St. Peter, not St. Perter laugh

RE: For Pete's Sake...

My guess is, that Pete in the original utterance, was a tribute to Saint Peter with the implication,
that in changing your behavior, St. Perter would owe you one, as you hoped to enter the 'pearly gates'.

Well England. It looks like you may have a new queen. All hail the queen !

K - on behalf of all, thanks for the history lesson about the materials from that era. thumbs up

The new Tesla model S; a 520 mile range on a charge, and 0 to 60 mph in 2 seconds.

They are making progress in using different components in the battery, that do not erode as quickly and hold a charge longer.
This was one of the things discussed in one of my previous blogs.

RE: Data on Allergic reactions to Covid 19 Vaccine.

Two new Covid-19 vaccines are soon to be approved.

One from J & J was only about 66% effective (72% in US & 57% in South Africa) in preventing getting the disease, but none of the 20,000 recipients died from Covid-19. Thus, it seems effective in preventing the worst cases of the disease. It also only requires one dose and does not need sub-zero temperatures for storage.
The difference in effectiveness in different countries, may be due to viral variants.

The second is from Novavax. It had a 89% effective rate in the UK 15,000 person phase 3 trial), but also was much less effective against the South African variant.

RE: Friendship and mathematics

If you are going to consider the mathematics of friendship, stick to rational numbers. laugh

Snakes alive ! Jumping and not for joy.

c - they can bite you.....in the wallet.

Snakes alive ! Jumping and not for joy.

c - I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for saying so.

L - You obviously have lots of experience with snakes, from different continent, that I know little about, and thankfully you're alive to talk about it. thumbs up

Love

I like the mixed berry one I posted the picture of.
I also like cherry, apple, blueberry, blackberry and peach pies.
The only one I'm not fond of is pumpkin pie.
It tastes sort of like dirt to me.

"One is the loneliest number you can ever do"

So, one tribe produces oil. I bet that wasn't their heritage. laugh
Either way, they will have to adapt too. head banger

"One is the loneliest number you can ever do"

You bet. Expand renewable energy and that jobs sector, and let the native Americans
have their land not polluted. head banger

Love

Well, I guess different people love different things.
However, I'll never be arrested because of driving after having a piece..... of pie. head banger

"One is the loneliest number you can ever do"

Yeah, parties are VERY negative. roll eyes laugh

Snakes alive ! Jumping and not for joy.

L - They are part of the natural world and thus are part of the ecosystem.
You just have to be especially wary of the venomous ones and the biggest stranglers.
Some people have snakes as pets and love them. Since they love warmth,
they can be snugglers. Corn snakes are favored.
Personally I prefer dogs, cats & rabbits.
But, to each their own.

U - Winters are great in Florida......and Hawaii, which has no snakes.

C - Well, they ARE attractive to a snake of the same species, especially their mother. laugh

RE: Full Moon...

Thanks for the notification.
I may get out my biggest lens and take some photos.
I think it's supposed to be clear tomorrow night.
Time will tell, or perhaps the wolves will. dancing dog

What it was like to work for a "World-Renowned Moron"

U - they are a fairly reliable source, but do lean left, rather than central and tend to use emotional words a bit too much. However, this article quotes whole paragraphs directly from Fauci, which I colored "dark green".

RE: George Carlin talks of today

Yet, the voters clearly made the better choice this past election.
While it's certainly not a perfect system, over time it has improved.

George Carlin was an EXCELLENT comedian focused on irony.
He made good points, however, he was not great at workable solutions.
He was great at comedy. :banger

What it was like to work for a "World-Renowned Moron"

s - DJT would like people to believe, that he's a "stable genius".
However, the reality is, that he is an unstable corrupt lying idiot.

V - I think we can both agree, that Fauci is FAR more qualified to make judgements about viruses than DJT. His original mask issues were the result of there not being enough masks for everyone and he wanted to make certain, that there were enough for the front line health administrators as well as first responders.

Snakes alive ! Jumping and not for joy.

That was very nice of you to relocate the snakes. Ringnecks are mostly harmless to humans despite having venom, because of 2 reasons. Their venom is very mild to humans and their fangs are in the back of their mouth and they can't open their mouth wide enough to bite a human finger.

However, the photograph you posted is not of a ringneck. That is a southeastern crowned snake.
They are very similar to the rignecks.

Here's a ringneck;

I've seen many different snakes in Florida, including banded water snakes, water moccasins, corn snakes, pygmy rattlers, eastern indigo, and my favorite snake, the black racer. That one is quick !

RE: First trip out since covid. Super descriptive blog!

I knew EXACTLY what you meant P.
And I wanted you to take a look at the bigger, more important picture. tongue laugh

Hey ! I just thought of a business for you to start, which is PERFECT for you.
How about if you learn to fix or upgrade (whatever video games are played on).
You can probably buy a manual online or even get one from a library to teach you how to do it.
You could then work from home.

For instance,

It costs about $500 for a PS5. I'm not sure, but you may be able to upgrade a PS4 to a PS5 by simply changing the harddrive to SSD and upgrading chips. You could spend $200 and charge $250, which is 1/2
the price of a PS5. Maybe it might even cost you less to do an upgrade.

This is just one example. You could probably buy broken PS4's cheaply and repair & sell, or repair & upgrade & sell.

RE: First trip out since covid. Super descriptive blog!

Soda is not a premium drink, when your health is a concern. scold laugh

Sounds like you had a fairly active day for your first day out after Covid-19. thumbs up

RE: Twits on Twitter...

thumbs up Amen ! Ooops. giggle

10 Photos sky high

l - I'm glad you enjoyed them. I CAN put the label wherever I want.
Indeed, when I sell my photos, I don't put any watermark on them.
I just autograph them by pen in hand, not on the the subjects of the photo.
However, online I prefer to place them where I do.
I do admit that it takes the average person a time or two of viewing my photos before their mind's
eye learns to see past the label. Sorry, if that spoils it for those people, who are unable to adapt.
Unfortunately, some online thieves spoil it for others.

2 Great football games today !

Being in KC, or especially Green Bay in the winter is not my idea of ideal.
Add to that, tickets to a playoff game are quite expensive.
Add to that, you get a much better view on TV.
At home you have access to your refrigerator, bathroom, no travel time nor expense, etc...

I am much more likely to go to a baseball game in NYC during the summer.

RE: Conor Let me Down.....

You win some, you lose some.
At least you weren't one of the ones getting their brains beat.

RE: Photos of President Biden's Oval Office, and his predecessors.

He sure has been working hard to upright the ship his first 2 days. thumbs up thumbs up

RE: Mega Million hit a billion...

Clearly f has become unhinged. He should seek mental health, rather than inappropriately lash out at others, who have not been unkind to him.
In the past he has demonstrated a good sense of humor. It's a shame to see him as a mere shadow of his better days. I hope he seek help in restoring his character to a more healthy exchange of dialog. sad flower
