I like Ave Maria like most people do - but if you can ever get your hands on Vyatcescav Kagen-Paley's cover you'll be entranced dear lady. Another all time favourite is Norman Greenbaum's Spirit in the sky.

The real problem is that the rest isn't very inspiring or entertaining. Said a while ago that I'm not an intellectual but that I miss the bunch that were on about a year ago. Also the bunch that were such eloquent writers. You're a breath of fresh air Ray.
We had our own Florence Nightingale in South Africa around the turn of the last century. She came all the way from England to nurse mothers and children who were wiped out by the English in concentration camps on their scorched earth policy during the Anglo Boer War.
Her name was Emily Hobhouse.
That reminds me - I still haven't read Goodbye Dolly Gray - I forget for the moment the South African author's name, who wrote the book...

I fell and hurt the back of my head badly at the age of 15. A massive lump. Gp's still did house calls then and i was put to bed for the week-end.Heard on radio some time ago that Bipolar could be a result of head injuries?
