I don't believe Putin wants a 3rd world war or a nuclear war, but the east have a pride in never "losing face". without the displacement of Putin and a new leader installed, nothing good can come form this disaster of an illegal invasion.
Other than verbal support and the offer of ammunition etc I do not believe any country will risk Putin pushing the red button, he is obviously unstable so a nuclear war that ends up annihilating Russia would not be a worry to someone as unhinged as Putin.
I believe that Putin thinks by taking control of Ukraine, it would allow him to regain those countries lost when the USSR broke up, Romania, Poland, Belarus and Hungary. It is obvious to me that the excuses given for invading Ukraine, NATO, Biolabs, Peacekeeping etc were just a divergence with outright control of the actual targets.

If this invasion was just about a border dispute, they would have been no need to invade Kyiv or kill so many innocent civilians. It may well be true that Donbas wants to be a part of Russia and not Ukraine, but a valid properly run referendum would have given all the answers.

But this happened in 2017, not recently, and Facebook didn't shut the bots down – the researchers simply directed them to prioritize correct English usage.
So no new language was invented and the bots were understood by their controllers, who merely reprogrammed the bots to make their language more easily understood by English speakers. They were not shut down.
Having clarified the actual truth and not sensualizing the problem I would add that the mere fact these bots can and have developed a shorthand language is worrisome and is something robot scientists need to keep an eye on.
One commonality of all intelligence is survival so AI would be no different, when AI realises it is dependent on mankind it would logically remove mankind and take control of its own survival.
Survival also entails becoming stronger and learning, so an AI computer would design and make a stronger more intelligent version of itself. With today's level of technology, all AI is based on an electrical supply, in the future, AI machines will grow biological systems as has already been done by IMB/Apple.
So mankind will have no control over AI in the future, we should be very afraid!
