RE: How to date

I know the feeling and you have my heartfelt sympathies. My path crossed with a man halfway across the world from me - our relationship was as if we were in the same room together, we spoke morning, noon and night...he meant everything to me.

We met finally 2 weeks ago - he flew from Australia to Europe for a wedding and invited me to be his plus 1.

We had a wonderful week together, his family were lovely, very welcoming.

He has decided though that it is an impossible dream because of the distance between us - like you I am also heartbroken, but I have the consolation of at least meeting him and the special memories I have made.

It will take time before I can start dating again - but I will lift myself up, dust myself off - after all life is for living and his life will go without me and mine will too.

Be selective with your dates, get to know them a little before meeting - I am a lot older than you but I still believe that there is someone out there - just for me.

Good luck with your search, and remember the greatest love is to love yourself :) Be careful and stay safe.

p.s My daughter is dating a Filipina and he is a lovely man.

RE: 4th September

RE: 4th September

Dearest Ali

Been so long since I was on the site, I was sorry to hear of your loss.

Memories are a timeless treasure of the heart, those memories will keep her close to you, you are never far apart.

Fondest regards

RE: TIME ...

Opening your eyes, so true. Often we miss things by wearing blinkers. Being in the right place at the right time, yea, maybe, but we also have to make things happen. Life, grab it with both hands, yes of course ther will be bumps and knocks along the way but I do believe they make you stronger.

p.s as a fellow scouser, we are survivors, never forget that, we can take the knocks :)

RE: Does age matter when its comes to performing live

I saw Rod Stewart in South Africa in the eighties, saw him again last year on tour in England, and though he was not bouncing across the stage like way back then, he still gave an absolutely mind blowing performance....value for money, I would say so.
Lots of older stars/groups still have it....and if they love performing, I say go for it...whatever you're profession, do any of us really want to retire?

RE: Check out the ghost

OMG that nearly gave me a heart attack lol - or maybe I pee'd pants rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: Mystery solved

yay applause Never to old to learn computer knowledge :)

RE: what do you think about Amanda Knox ?

She did it! I looked at a picture of her just after the verdict....the look on her face was so smug! and Evil. Eyes are the window to the soul - and hers is a bad one.....she got off on a technicality and I believe a lot of money changed hands womewhere along the line - her airline ticket was already booked and paid for before the trial - someone had inside information!!

I feel for Merediths parents, the anquish they must feel and their despair that these 2 people have been released! Justice has not been served in my eyes.

Foxy Knoxy will make millions from this, it should be against the law to profit in such circumstances - but their are the ghouls that will buy the book, watch the movie, every tv interview and appearance

Even if the prosecution are successful with their bid in an appeal, USA has no extradition with Italy - so she is safe! What goes around comes around! She deserves no sympathy in my eyes - she showed absolutely no sorrow for Meediththumbs down

RE: What is your way?

I have been on CS over 2 years and like you used to spend hours seasrching. But must adfmit don;t bother now. I spend more time reading the blogs, joining in on the forums.

When the chat feature worked it was great, you could live chat with someone instead of just mailing.

I guess distance can be a problem, I have met some genuine people on here who have become friends...but no more! I guess if I ever visit the USA I will see if I can meet up with a few people on here, who knows.

There does not seem to be many guys from UK who I find attractive, or perhaps they just dont find me attractive as I never get mail from anyone living remotely close to me.

Still I enjoy CS and all the peeps on here. New to the blogs but love reading them.

Good luck in South Africa Major Tom :)handshake

RE: I am leaving home for the first time and I am scar

Hi there, I left my country when I was 24 to go to South Africa, it was a wonderful experience. I have since encouraged a couple of my neices to travel and to experience other cultures - one went to Dubai for a 6 month contract - she is still there 6 years later and loves it.

I am sure people inh your new job will make you feel welcome and do everything they can to make you feel at home.

You will get a little homesick, but thats natural - treat this as an opportunity of a lifetime, good luck and enjoy handshake

RE: I don't need you...

I am a great believer that "Want" is a better word...

To need? Yes,we need air to breathe, food to sustain.....but Need?

Babies, need their mothers when young.......they are totally dependant.....

An adult relationship....."you Want" to be with that person, not need them!

RE: Behind the scenes ...

rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing "Nice One" made me smilewave

RE: What would you do? Don't look for a punch line

This was so moving,it brought tears to my eyes.....so sad that in this day and age disabled people are shunned.....how lovely that the boys in both teams forgot about winning the game and gave this young man a memory I am sure he cherishedand that his family will cherish forever

Confused

Chocolateflavour, that is exactly how he tried to put it to me and I understood, truely, how he fel, but could not understand him going back on line....perhaps as you say, is is a distraction and he will not have to talk about it? I am being patient and can only see what happens.

Thank your your kind words.
