charliemac.. Mostly it's because they are in nightclubs where the lighting is fairly subdued. But since they are dressed to kill and the lighting is better in the Ladies.. Obvious choice
One thing you have learnt from this is that you were doing things the right way. So many in their search for love set their focus on what they wish to receive. But you have focused on what you want to give. This is all very good and positive. So be assured you will move on. Though your feelings might take a while to catch up. It's always best to be a giver. For one thing it means that 'you' are in control. Be happy and 'stay' positive. A good heart always finds it's own reward.
I had the use of an Epiphone from a friend for about a year. Used it in a couple of gigs. Great sound. Personally the best electric i ever owned was a Gordon Smith
The trick is not to 'make' yourself practice. Just keep picking up the guitar every few minutes, or each time you pass it by (Put it somewhere unavoidable) What guitars do you have? My own that i favor playing right now is a Takamine EG440SC
I'm sorry this has been your experience at CS. It's unfortunate, but true that many display a lack of social grace. On a site like this though, it's also often true that highlighting a problem will only produce more of the same. The emphasis is better placed on 'giving out' what you hope to receive.
