RE: Can Someone Find me with my IP Address?

you think so
The VPN server will mask your IP address when connecting to your destinations on your behalf. That being said, if you use your regular browser, even on VPN, you will still be exposing all of your cookies, and websites will still know who you are as your IP address is usually immaterial to them.

some comments on that thought here:

I to use mobile broadband, its digital signal, stage probably transits a Satellite is therefore traceable no matter what IP address you antivirus clouds your traffic with.

RE: Internet security and privacy is my speciality.

I also had that and I think the problem arose (not 100% sure) because i didn't tell Recuva where to recover the files to before starting the recovery process. May be wrong was long time ago but think that was the problem.
A couple of years ago used the program to recover pictures on an SD Card and it worked Ok. Once upon a time a long time ago i shelled out and purchased a good program called Zar and that did a good job but i lost the rego information or something, so turned to Recuva
Try running recuva on your recycle bin or somewhere and tell it where to recover the files to before you let it loose...

RE: Internet security and privacy is my speciality.

RE Recuvva correct spelling is Recuva
Its a good recovery program its works so I'm not sure why you couldn't get the files back

Re:
"MalwareBytes and regularly use CCleaner to check my HD ..."!

I also sourced free version of Panda Dome (Spanish program) to protect Malwarebytes program files.
Panda Dome was the only Anti-Virus program i could find that met my needs.
The paid version Panda Dome wouldn't install as it needs Window thief Gates updates to back computer up on Panda Dome Cloud Server and therefor would not install on my laptop but the free version does, works fine.
I to use CCleaner also Little Registry Cleaner program, which does good job cleaning registry.

RE: Internet security and privacy is my speciality.

in reply to EXRED recent post, when you computer was refurbished they didn't put the correct Win 7 install details. You can locate the correct details providing the laptop has original Microsoft sticker attached to the back (bottom) of the laptop.
On first Windows operating system the sticker on the bottom of your laptop was entered and that is still hidden in the BIOS Setup probably when it was refurbished they entered another version of windows operating system, at very least used an incorrect Product Key.

Its possible to purchased install disks on eBay that will format the hard drive and allow you enter the correct Product Key to resolve the issue your having..

RE: Your Home

After years of consultation, the Department of Land, Water, Environment and Planning released its draft Feral Horse Strategic Action Plan 2018-2020 in December 2017. errrrr

Victoria plans to remove 1,200 feral horses from Alpine National Park
The Victorian Government estimates there are 2,500 feral horses in Victoria's eastern alps

Premier Andrews Victorian State Government joined with federal National Parks in an agreement to rid Alpine area of Brumby's frustrated

RE: Your Home

Yippie-aye-oh, yippie-aye-ay

RE: Your Home

Brumby is a wild horse, like many of the mounts the Australian 4th Light Horse Brigade rode when they charged Beersheba were horses sourced from herds of wild Brumby that still roam today in the mountains of Australia

RE: Your Home

hehehe, the house you posted would take a bit of moving...
I am sitting in what was in Stagecoach days, the Blacksmiths cottage, though it has been moved a few times my fire place is a fireplace that Ned Kelly probably sat by in yester-year. They say Ned likely did visit this area so he probably did.
Ensay is between Burthen and Omeo on the Alpine Highway, the area is steeped in history mainly because produced heaps of gold and is really quite pretty.
Mountain country over and over the forest has been and still is being logged. None the less its one of few places in Australia that creeks, streams and rivers run clean and wildlife roam. A very pretty area with nearby sky fields and lakes, Snowy River etc etc. I have photographed 159 species of birds in this general area and have become known as the Ensay Birdman...

This image was taken from a high hill looking out north from the cottage i type this in, the little white dot on extreme right of the farm buildings in the foreground...nice place

RE: Food Allergies...

Somewhere around 150 to 200 people die in the U.S. each year because of food allergies. It's estimated that around 50 percent to 62 percent of those fatal cases of anaphylaxis were caused by peanut allergies.

Myself allergies includes shellfish, bee stings both developed as an adult.

More recently after a lot of antibiotic my digestive system turned cactus.
Currently i'm happily getting bye on banana and yogurt for breakfast, fish'n chips for lunch and steak and veg as limiting my diet in that way the plumbing works fine..

RE: computer glitch

My answer to Windows was to buy refurbished laptop with Win 7 Pro 64 Bit installed and turn off windows security, update, firewall and anything else thief Bill Gates wants you to run like Windows Explorer try via Start: type "Turn Windows Features On/Off" don't give your new computer a password and turn permissions for all users...Take charge of your computer, ensure bill gates doesn't force you into buying a newer version of windows, turn all updates OFF. He is a thief.
Fully install your favorite Office Suite like in, I paid for Microsoft Office 2000 Premium and it is fully patched with Sp1, Sp2, Sp3 and Sp 4 and is set to run in the 2000 mode the program was made to run in...
You can't run Outlook on Win 7 computer so go back to school and buy Student version of that, backup what it does with Outback Plus 9 backup program.
Install FireFox (I prefer Nightly) and download and install Yandex Browser to...

Having done that completely lawful process, get yourself a good backup program like "Macrium Refect" and then get that to make Grandfather backup image of your whole system and have that saved onto an external Hard Drive.

Then if you want bit more security Clone your computer onto another Hard Disk and save it somewhere safe for a rainy day.

Now install PAID Spybot, PAID Malwarebytes, PAID SuperAntiSpyware antivirus programs.

And OP then loan your wife to your mate instead and keep other people off your computer

to deal with your paranoia get into the here and now pronto.

What you do or think right now effects the next moment, engage in positive activity as that type of activity leads to positive outcome, more positive activity more positive out comes...

paranoia likely arises because we may have made few errors showing the seeds of Murphy's Law perhaps rear rather rash judgment or two in the past that will certainty produce as you sow etct etc, however understanding who wrote the script hopefully will mean you'll understand and not make things any worse, its called taking it on the chin...

positive activities produce positive outcomes so get into the here and now and direct mind to engage in positive thoughts/energy

RE: Just like a boat sailing in rough seas

Will be interesting to see what president duterte actually does...

Benigno Aquino, Duterte—a self-described “socialist” with historical ties to Philippine communists—doesn’t seem to be very keen on confronting China

On January 23, 2013, the Philippine announced that it initiated an arbitration case against China by issuing a Notification and Statement of Claim in accordance with the dispute settlement provisions of UNCLOS, particularly under Art. 287 and Annex VII. Both the Philippines and China are signatories to UNCLOS, having ratified it in 1984 and 2006 respectively.

Duterte has also expressed doubts as to the utility of the Philippines’ arbitration case against China, which has boycotted the proceedings and questioned the jurisdiction of the arbitral tribunal to oversee the South China Sea disputes. Encouraged by convivial exchanges with the incoming Philippine leadership, China recently reiterated its call on the Philippines to entirely drop the arbitration case as a sign of goodwill. After all, the verdict is expected to be released a week after Duterte officially assumes power, so technically the case could still be dropped.

RE: Just like a boat sailing in rough seas

when i was sixteen seventeen years old very famous all black football play's drove around in my district in military vehicle asking young people to join army to help protect NZ medical teams trying to help Vietnamese people , so i listened and joined army to who asked we stop the spread of communism.
I was in Saigon serving in New Zealand Army when Vietnamese took over most of the city and USA Embassy on 1st February 1968, which is why i explained my opinion in your blog

America Australia and therefore New Zealand signed up to start a war in Vietnam in 1954, the last American GI's were killed in 1975.

this is link to history of developing Vietnam war up to 1966 on my web page...mainly newspaper headlines:

The Americans moved ship loads of Christians from North Vietnam to South Vietnam then announced DMZ and started killing, killed millions of Vietnamese so though I understand boat-people suffered so much to they also suffered war before that to

RE: SOS Advise Please

There is a saying a bird in hand is worth far more than 10 in the bush

My understanding of that saying is you should value what you have, not through that away on a maybe...

America probably still be there next time the embassy organizes and invites you to that test. Just send them a note explaining your current employment required your attendance and you need to meet that commitment, could you please residual the appointment.

RE: The O.I. Saga Ch. 3: Ultimatum (2/2)

try refining the question better, the living what you describe as a more normal lifestyle, if that what you'd like to ask, then perhaps try and describe on to yourself paper pen not computer the nature of the more normal lifestyle you envisage.

Normal lifestyle would be what you perceive as the day to day normal activity that you think best suits the type of activity you could (a) manage more or less independently on your own, (b) the type of outcome the activity would produce / develop into, (c) enjoy, and (d) the extent others like your mum and dad may consider assisting you with.

In other words the normal lifestyle is what would become normal in your daily life and answer to the extent you can what that might take to achieve...
