Hi Ken,
I got a "not found" error...maybe the URL didn't render completely in the blog.

RE: India's Daughter

Lou, that documentary broke my heart. That poor girl studied and worked so hard, just to be killed in such a way, right when she was ready to enjoy her life and help her parents.

Also makes me angry that people can be so cruel-hearted and narrow minded. So what if she watched Life of Pi at night with her boyfriend?

Thanx for posting. sad flower

RE: America's favorite pastime

Ken, in movies people are often chased by scary bearys. laugh How would I know?

Thanks for the info. Enjoyed reading! teddybear

RE: America's favorite pastime

Wow, Ken. 300-400 lb of bear!!! Had to smile when you mentioned how you looked at each other while picking the berries.

Thanks, Lou.

It really is a reminder of how you just don't know when it will happen.

RE: A Cs-legend

Did anyone ever find out how he passed? He was only 56 and there didn't seem to be a warning. sad flower I couldn't find his facebook page, don't know his name other than on here (was looking for info.)

RE: Free Will

Very good, Callie.

I knew Calvinism was also an important point to cover.

You did it very well. cheers

RE: I don't know how to escape here

In order to achieve your goals, you have to first know what they are. You say you want to escape...escape to where? Be specific about what you want, and then brainstorm the ways you can take to what you want/need.

Its not impossible. But as the others bloggers have said, life IS difficult for most of us. But if you don't like your job, find your passion...is there a way to earn money doing what you love?

RE: A gorgeous TV meteorologist!

er, I am not sure this is the way to do it (smile.) hug

RE: Free Will

No human being can judge another human being's heart.

In fact, it is a sin to do so.

We don't know why this issue bothers Socrates so much, but evidently it does, as this is his second blog on the subject, and the first one, as mentioned, had many valid points that did not seem to help with the matter.

I hope you find peace to your questions, Socrates. But being on the premise that God is good (as PJ said), wouldn't it follow on that alone that He would be just and loving in His dealings with us?

I see no point in repeating any of the points that have already been made; that is going around in circles. It really does seem to have been thoroughly covered in this and your last blog.

All the best,
C bouquet

RE: Why I Like Arab Muslim Culture and Traditions

Feel for you. In California it's mostly nice, but when it gets to 80-90 degrees in summer it's frying pan weather to us.

Hope you cool off soon!!!

RE: 16 Habits Of Highly Sensitive People

Hi Soc,
I find this article mostly true.

It's never good to put people in a box, as one size never fits all...but I think "highly sensitive people", in the positive sense, make the world a better place. Of course, if it is in negative sense, it causes a lot of unnecessary stress.

"Highly sensitive" people are more likely to go the extra mile, to see the tear no one else notices or cares to dry....they are never "too busy" for someone who needs them. Paradoxically, although they are "into" their own emotions, their sensitivity often reaches out equally to the other person.

I have often been told I am too sensitive, but usually it is by people who are being INsensitive! laugh cheers

RE: Better to have loved and have lost...

RE: Are women losing their trump card?

laugh Yes, Johnny, there used to be a candy called Sugar Babies (wonder what happened to it? haven't read the article, below.)

(candy)

They were little, soft bite sized caramel candies.

Remember them when I was a kid (wow, eons ago lol.)

All this talk about sugar daddies, sugar mommies and sugar babies...
Is that what the Archies song Sugar Sugar was about?
laugh ( know it wasn't jest kiddin' with ya!)
