RE: Why are there so many people in the blogs continually spreading misinformation regarding potus 45?

A lot of information most people get from the media and from online. Both are as corrupt as the political system in the United States and actually other countries as well. I can take a video and cherry pick what I want and make it seem the nicest person is a shit head dunno How many people have actually met him? How many people have actually had bussiness dealings with him here? I doubt not more than one person. There is a puppeteer out there somewhere and we are all its puppets. Like or not. I myself am not going to waste my time on earth worrying about what other people say or think. In all matters I will follow my gut. I just think it is sad that our choice might be between two old farts. I would like some new young blood in office with fresh ideas. Yet that appears to be to much to ask for. wine

RE: Moving out of Washington

Wow. That surprised me. Palm Bay and Melbourne are close to me. The housing is still expensive but at least in that area they are close to Nasa so there is some good job opporturnities. My area is more a retirement area. conversing

RE: Moving out of Washington

Hi wave I agree with Chat housing has gone crazy in my part of Florida tho I believe there are areas of Florida that are not as bad. Research is your friend. Check maybe central northern areas. I live right on the east coast in a place called Vero Beach. It is beautiful. I checked your profile out to see what I could see. In the line of work you are in most of Florida is below average pay from what I hear on the news. I also hear they are trying to change that. We are begging for firemen, paramedics, etc. So you will def want to check that out. We have our share of the homeless, in the winter they migrate south to get out of the cold. Some cities try to make it as pretty as they can taking care of the homeless. We are after all a retirement state and tourist destination for many. I have a friend who bought property in Georgia for when she retires. She goes up there and talks about how the cost of living there is so much better. I don't know a lot about South Carolina. I do know about North Carolina. It is one of the most beautiful states. Cost of living is reasonable. I have thought about selling my home and going tiny. They have really beautiul tiny home. Some reasonable some not so much. Best wishes with your relocation wave

PS You might want to check Tennessee out also!

RE: Let it blow, let it blow, let it blow...

laugh I mixed my still and till. You will figure it out! cheers

RE: Let it blow, let it blow, let it blow...

I am feeling it over here. So far I have had no power outages, yet there have been a few in my area. It would be nice if Mother Nature would let me schedule these occurances. sigh I did manage to go to the Publix between rain drops and wind yesterday. I am putting everything else off still another time. Hopefully this will pass soon. Wind is till kicking outside. Rain is easing off now wave

RE: Bang it around a bit...

It sure seems that way. I try when replacing, to buy stuff that don't have all the fancy (bells and whistles) Less to go wrong blues Stove is next. Mine after thirty years is still working, I know it is just time to replace it. Been looking. Wish me luck! I have no idea why I hold onto stuff like that for so long. I guess I just don't trust new and improved.

RE: Bang it around a bit...

I am unsure about the improved reliability part. Stuff wears out quicker now a days blues Three years ago I had to replace my fridge. I was so sad mine had crapped out. The freezer worked fine the fridge just died. I had repaired it myself a few times. But I knew I had to let it go. My daughter asked me how old it was. I checked the date, I wasn't sure. I looked at her and said almost thirty years old. Appliances and stuff in general no longer last like that.. I sometimes wonder if it is done on purpose to provide jobs dunno

RE: Bang it around a bit...

laugh You just knocked the cob webs out of it. I grew up in that era also. Had an old TV that I use to have to hit the side to get it to power up. It lasted about another year with me doing that every time I turned it on.

RE: Chris Christie...

I would be surprised if Chris Christie came close to being one of the high contenders dunno Sadly in 2020 and a couple of years before that his political career started to take a spiraling down cline that I would think it is going to be difficult for him to overcome. I think this voting term we will see a lot of voters not voting for who they would like for president but voting against who they do not want. Just my opinion but Biden running again is not doing the democrats a favor.

RE: Miclee

Good to know. Thanks for letting us know. wave

RE: I got dilated today...

"Blog: I got dilated today...(by chatillion)
Eye exam. Originally scheduled for last year, pushed back as the doctor decided to take a holiday vacation. No cataracts, no signs of glaucoma. The blurred vision is because my left eye is weaker than the right and my standard glasses need to be changed.
I left the office with disposable sunglasses as blurred vision was at maximum. Good thing the vision center was only a mile from my home. I took the day off from work and it was a good thing as I had a splitting headache and couldn't focus fora few hours.
It was dark 7 hours later when I went grocery shopping and bright lights from car headlights had a slight blue 'edge' when I blinked. I'm thinking that was a reaction from the eye drops.
Hopefully, I'll be back in business tomorrow."

It actually sounds like your visit almost went good except for the dilation. I have for years had them do an optomap of my eyes, dialation and I are not friends. Insurance will not usually cover an optomap but I found them fairly reasonable. I pay 35 dollars I think. It is worth it to me. For quite a few years till they started making the optomap available I did without any dilation or anything blues now at this age I am really glad to have this choice. Something to think about for next time Chat. wave

RE: The purpose of life

That is funny I should read this. Yesterday I decided I wanted to make a garden. Not so much thinking about leaving a legacy, but to appreciate the fruits of my labour. My yard is quite tropical so I am going to start by reading up on what kind of flowers I can grow here. When I think about my legacy I leave behind it would be how I have lived my life. My children and grand children have watched me through some of my most trying times to some of my greatest times. And I know they are proud of how I have dealt with it all. They have told me and so have their friends. That is actually the legacy my mother left behind. Teaching us through her behavior how to live life through the good and bad. And to do it graciously. I have been thinking a lot here lately on my life and I must say I am satisfied with that. wave

RE: Dorian... meet Florida!

I have been through every storm that has passed by or came upon my shores since 1956 blues I think I actually liked it better when they didn't sensationalize them for days. Irma put a hurting on me. Took me over a year to get my home livable again. And still have a few things I would like to fix (cosmetic) lets hope by some change of heart she goes out to sea and leaves all of us alone blues I am in Vero Beach and the stores are already crazy. So are the gas stations. I scheduled a long weekend off from work for the holidaymumbling

RE: English Language

laugh Do you realize how many accents we have here? Different regions different accents. Believe me you wouldn't want to master mine. I sound southern. Have you thought about watching American movies to help? Or maybe an American Audio book? wave

RE: Wasted relationship

(OgGoDeoOP•Jul 5•galway, Galway Ireland
I have no hatred for you Lyndsy.......I have lots of better things to expend my energy on.......Only thing is.....a bit like a train crash.....you have been difficult to miss around here for the past couple of years.......my goodness at times one would have thought that it was you yourself that was running for President of the US and not Trump.......you bored the pants off the majority of people on here......I will not reiterate your ingrained hatred towards all Muslims again.....that fact is noted by most intelligent people on here.......Anyway, not sure how many years you have been on here but, from what I have read from you.....you have never been short in boasting about your wonderful children, your luxiourios cruises and jet setting lifestyle.......So now, after a load of blogs and threads....all of a sudden....in one blog everybody is told about the romantic relationship you have been having with somebody who was a member on this site?..........The beginning and the end of a relationship all divulged in one post from somebody who most of the time finds it impossible to shut up?........ strange to say the very least.......)

laugh Obviously not you laugh

Can you trust him Phylis? Love is difficult to say the least without trust.

RE: How To Communicate ?

I agree communication is quite important in any kind of relationship any one has. I also do not feel you can "know the feeling of a person" without communication. hmmm I have used communication soft ware to communicate with people on here before and it worked quite well but not perfectly. I also feel you should let a person know when communicating up front with them that you are using the soft ware and do not speak the language well or some languages at all. I find out in my every day life that listening to someone who does not speak my language requires patience, something many do not possess. Keep trying. And don't take a rejection personal. wave

RE: How-To Blog

If my memory is correct she is one of the ones who helped create this site. None of this would be here if not for people like her. They worked endlessly for little gratitude. Same thing they get now when changes are made. No gratitude. They don't do things to make people angry. They do it to try and make the site better. dunno

RE: Is there many people like this on here??

From reading his email I would venture to say that english is not his primary language. I would not meet him and I would not respond to him anymore. wave

RE: Food for thought

Lets see hmmm a normal size healthy person can go quite a while without food. Maybe three four weeks before starving to death. So I imagine somewhere in that time limit one would become delusional and lose track of what is real and what is not.So I like to think I would not but who knows after you cross a certain point. As Wiz said most would eat another human at some point. dunno

RE: posssible collapse of credit in usa

I also heard on the news yesterday that more and more people are using credit. It is difficult for the average person not to. Something goes wrong in their homes and their wages barely cover their living expenses. Terrible a working person cannot make a livable wage in most places in this country. Their all in cohoots. the banks the politician, big corp. Wonder if I will live to see the day when they have to eat each other. They all ready killed off middle class. dunno JMO

RE: Is one of you a widower?

Elegs you are right I am happy where I am at today. Not because of the memories. But because of the life I have built for myself the last seven years. It would take someone really special to turn my head. And thank you for commenting. I have always heard the way to education is to get varying opinions and out looks. wave

RE: Its so peaceful and quiet.

Woohoo!!!! We did a take overjoy cartwheel gotta go crazy

Off to see what else I can take over today. Have a good one!

RE: Our Homeless Population!

My apologies Ed blues
Did not realize you had colon cancer.
Still go to your next meeting.
There has got to be something you can do where your outtings will not be so fustrating. sigh

RE: Our Homeless Population!

hmmm Just a suggestion go before you leave home and don't drink a lot of liquids while you are out. Maybe also go to your next town council and suggest they add more bathrooms. Just one? I live in a small town yet you make our library seem like a palace. We also have a lot of homeless here. Especially this time of year. The northern areas start to get a little cool and they head south. I really would suggest more bathrooms at the next meeting. dunno I am sure if you have this problem others do also.

RE: Weird Ways Couples Annoy Each Other

I myself want to thank you for this little eye opener. I have been feeling lonely here lately. Not so much now laugh Yet the funny thing about love I have found if you really love the person you would be surprised how much the annoying things don't matter. Sad part is I most likely would be the annoying one uh oh very happy

RE: Oh durn, I was afraid of that, and did try to prev

Wow nice pics! Are these wild? Or have you been feeding them? wave

RE: It Was Just 06:20 and now where did the time go

yay I hate to drive. Live in a small town and light traffic but just hate to. I also have to work please
I am in applause I need to be at work most mornings by six or either four depending on how many hours I work that day. off at two pm. And very seldom work weekends. Can I expect you in the morning? uncertain

RE: bad day
