It was even better about 5 years ago when it was in it`s infancy.
I`m most fortunate that I`m no longer single and looking ....... and stay here mostly just to fight that Haloween Pumpkins game ...... read what people are writing about, and to say Hi to some of the older members when they pop in.

In those long ago days, newbies actually got to introduce themselves, and be welcomed by all the active forum members.

You have to know what it is YOU want, not try to please other people all the time. And my guess is that you do try to please others ....... and then find yourself unhappy?

No-one else can stimulate your mind - only you can do that.

You are supposed to have blind faith in your doctor ..... He is to be worshipped as the Holy Man who Knows Everything..... And the drugs he issues is part of his retirement package, holiday house, new auto, gold plated golf-clubs.

I once asked a pharmacist how come he and his family looked so healthy? His reply was "Oh, I KNOW what is in those drugs - we dont take them ... we stick to natural cures"...... hahahaaaa .... "For every pill that cures something .. there is a side-effect" were also his words.

Strange how .. if you dont ever visit a doctor, you never get seriously ill. But once you start .... you go on and on and on ....

Hey Kenny, You are a very good looking dude ... just dont worry about what you are worrying about. The timing has to be right. Believe me, I been there ... many times, hahaha ....

But you know what? ...... I used to walk around talking to myself about how I knew there was this "right man for me" and I just waiting to meet him. Well, guess what? ...He was right in my home village ... and I had known him for 4 years, just that he timing was not right.

Now the timing is right .... we met up ... and ....... I am happy as I never been happier in my life!

So hang in there ... This dating site, or any other, is not the end of the line ... its just a way to clear your thoughts and get the energy flowing.... Plus you make good friends here.

In my younger artistic days I had a run of giant papier mache birds, horrible looking creatures, called "MerryWanna Birds" and they too mourned the passing of their Great Leader known as "Reason" - Reason left this earth when a new breed of being began to be prolific and left no space for Reason to live ....these new beings were called "Politicians" and they made all sorts of weird new laws. So the MerryWanna Birds gave up talking, and just sat on their perches and watched the world go by.......

I think that women listen too much to what other women say - If you ask a mans opinion, they all like long hair. Same with fashions. Women are inclined to dress to how their friends think they should, not to what men like.

Yup, you are SO right. But ... seems these days everything has to move at lightning rate, and after one meet, pffft, one is judged "no good"........or something.... Maybe "ideals" is in everyones mind from too much media pumping?

I look around, my favourite passtime is people watching, and I see such realy odd couples .... and this makes me think...... "Am I SO bad I can`t make a couple?"

Never be mean with what you serve .... try and have the biggest coffee mugs, be generous with the milk - (hot or cold? - ask)- and seperate sealed condiments.

To give an idea ..... my son and I were forced to sit out a wait at his barber and decided to have a coffee at a little shop in the mall. The lady tried to entice us to buy small cakes to have with the coffee - no thanks, we just wanted coffee...... She brought the coffee - I was SO impressed ... served in a steel coffee pot - full - and when we`d poured she came and refilled it! Then she put down a plate full of little biscuits - for free! I asked her why? She said her shop is for entertaining the shoppers and when we sit in her shop we are her guests - unfortunately she has to charge for the coffees and other cakes to pay her rent, but she wants to make sure we leave there satisfied, and come back again. WOW! What an attitude to business she has! Now I enjoy going there and will specially buy her other cakes to have with the coffee.

Ja, at 16 I also wanted what you wanted. Didn`t get it. At 22 thought I`d got it. Nope, didn`t get it again. At 43 tried again ... still no luck.

So ....I am now "reading all the road-signs" ... you just gotta have it ALL, otherwise it doesn`t work... thats my opinion anyway.

Well, at least I have learned to look past the physical appearance and try to see what is inside. Inside is what counts, what comes from the heart. If that is sincere, then you more than halfway there.

I`d say, like window shopping ...... you see something you realy like, but when you try it on .. it does nothing for you .. so you not gonna waste your money buying it and taking it home, are you?

Do you think there is Good and Evil? Your body develops a "habit" from repeat behaviour.

If you practice a certain complicated movement over and over repeatedly, and then are asked to describe it, sometimes you cannot describe - you have to get up and do the movement .... your muscles and nerves have remembered the movement.

An evil habit? What is an Evil Habit? Your conscience tells you if what you do is Bad or Good.

Animals and birds are programmed to behave in certain ways - without being taught. Humans have to be taught. The same as with some of the higher more intelligent animals who need their families to learn from.

A bird can automatically weave a nest. We would have to learn how.

Oh Rusty, what a sad thing to happen. Your Dad was realy a fine man - one of the Distinguished and Gracious Gentlemen, and with a fine and intelligent mind. I am sad to hear of his passing. I am honoured to have met him!

I know exactly how you feeling Slwinks ... I have the same problem. Although my profile states someone in my area ... and Yes I have not restricted my mail or flowers to only my area .. just to make life more interesting ..... There seems to be no single older males in my entire area! I get a lot of compliments - along the lines of "incredible for your age" sort of stuff, but that does not keep me warm at night!
My mail comes mainly from the USA and other far flung places, Alaska, Canada, etc......

Oh well, guess that`s one of the downsides of living in this beautiful country of Switzerland?... No Men.
