Mr. Pitts, it's just a crazy world out there lately. Everything is a mystery to me these days! As long as people are happy, and not doing anything illegal or against the greater good, then I say Woohoo! Whatever floats their boat...

I have only ever been with American men, so I don't know anything of the bigger picture out there.

Bsooner, I said "many" not all! For crying in a bucket! I have known men who are mature and who want a woman as partner, not as subordinate. I was writing about the types who say Western women are jaded and who think Asian women will take care of them. Sorry for the miscommunication. Are you doing okay?

Angel, jaded means pretty much what Calmhearts described, as far as the context in which this person used the word. Too independent, materialistic, and hard headed.

I think Asian women are beautiful and seem soft and open hearted for the most part. I can see why men from here are attracted to them.

Many Western men are big babies too tho', and they are looking for someone to "mommy" them.. Western women are sort of over that.

Maxmate, I guess you could call it that as well. It is all love in the end. I think it is the word "love" that is the issue. Most people's idea of love is very narcissistic. I am referring more to the kind of love that some call Christ consciousness.

Absolutely! Self love is knowing that you come from that which created all of Life. It is compassion for self, it is forgiveness of self, it is not beating the self up with self criticism. It is treating yourself the way you would most like to be treated by others.

It is not easy to realize how cruel we are to ourselves. We are in such patterns of behavior and thought that it is almost impossible to see the way we bash ourselves.

That is why the mystics emphasize getting quiet and watching the mind. It does some amazingly crazy stuff, the mind. Of course this is what has been my practice and what has helped me and is only my perspective on this subject.

Love is everywhere. It is in a blade of grass, a song, a mountain.....it is in everything that is manifest. Everyone can connect to it's energy any time through their heart.

I am not sure I understand Maxmate, because it is impossible to receive and feel the love that is everywhere if there is any self loathing. Love of Self and of self is imperative to loving everything and everyone. Perhaps people confuse self love with narcissism. That's not what I mean. Love of self is the knowing that we are all God essence. We are divine, sacred beings.

To be in love with Life, is to know love at it's deepest and most profound level.
