It is not easy to be truthful sometimes. We all have histories of being rejected or punished for telling someone something heartfelt. If it is something that is integral to the function of the relationship, though, it is best to just get it out in the open. Let the chips fall where they may. Many times we build it up in our minds so much that we are surprised when our beloved just shrugs his shoulders and says, "oh, is that all?"

Hi Kasih, I think the purpose of relationship is not just about hot and heavy lovey dovey stuff. The people we are in closest relationship with are there to help us heal wounded parts of ourselves. Sometimes that means something comes up that just hurts like crazy or makes you seethe with anger. The idea is to let go of judgment, if possible, and ask yourself what it is you are learning about yourself through this experience.

Say someone has lied to you and then confessed to lying. First the anger at being lied to comes up, but upon looking deeper, there is a reason such a lie would cause so much emotionality. That is where the healing is.

I love a saying, "lean into the sharp edges". Life is always always teaching us so that we can grow and become more aware of the divine creatures we really are.

What's wrong with chatting it up with a stranger? You are doing it here. if you are friendly and have the intention of being non threatening, I'm sure everything would work out just fine. What if she was trying to give you the hint to talk to her and you missed out because you were thinking too much? I think we all take ourselves and these situations much too seriously. Just have fun! What's the worst that could happen? What's the best that could happen?

I'm sorry Snowbunny, I am having a hard time understanding what you want. You are not available because you are still married and you are not moving for a year. Yet, it is somehow this site that isn't giving you what you want, which is a soulmate that you are not available for yet.

I think it's hilarious that someone could be possessive on CS. No one even knows each other in real life for crying in a bucket!! Such a bunch of goofiness to be sure!

It's funny, because, I can't picture myself with someone younger than me. I have met very few men who have much maturity (emotionally) and the younger they are, the less mature they seem to be. That is just my perception and may be erroneous at best. That being said, I think I am and will be one hot older woman!!

CT, maybe where you live the 90 year old men look younger than the 70 year old women, but it isn't like that here. I didn't go to my high school reunion this year, but I saw some pictures of those folks and it looked like the women were in much better shape than the men. Of course, I looked at those pictures and thought, "there's no way I look that old" I wonder if I am delusional.... can anyone tell me why a dancing cloud accurately represents "crazy"? just curious...
