I have a dying friend as well. It breaks my heart to see her fade away as I know her now for 22 years. Just be there for your friend John and stay strong.
When you truly love someone, the giving will come automatically from the heart. As soon as selfishness is a part of your life, then its not reallly true love and get out of the relationship. dont even try to make it work or believe that you can compromise. you will burn in the long run.
