I could be wrong here........ but I think if someone deletes their profile your mail will remain in your box. If they have been booted off the site the mail goes with them.
The problem with this caper is that people's expectations are too high. It's a bit like playing lotto I guess...... everyone goes in hoping to be a winner. Some do; most don't.
Personally, I'm only here for the forums and so on and I'd rather take my chances down the pub. The pool's much smaller and the competition is fierce but at least I've got a fair idea what I'm in for...... and up against.
Years ago I went to the motor registry to grab a permit for an unregistered white Kombi van. I didn't even bother looking at the thing till I got home and found out I was the owner of a black Mercedes.
Jim: The town I grew up in was once a 6 cop town...... and everyone knew everyone, and their business. So there was a lot of shoulder rubbing going on.
The town eventually grew into a city and became the regional police headquarters for our part of the state. Also, the State's police academy is not far away so cops are coming and going; and they all want to be Police Commissioner one day.
Ah well. On the positive side, there's now 10 times as many cars on the road but the road toll is way way down on what it used to be.
Well matey, you do realize that when you posted this blog, it did not just go from your computer into what I see on my screen.
Your blog is right now sailing through space. Eventually it will leave the Milky Way, pass Andromeda and just keep going and going and going until sometime in a few million years some civilization will intercept it........ and then try to translate it.
It will be much more challenging than our Rosetta Stone.
Actually the greatest natural disasters in the world are heat waves....... something you'd be safe from in Sweden.
Yeah, we have a few nasties down here but it's usually carelessness that gets people in strife. But just to put things into perspective, an average of 4 people die from croc/shark attack and snakebite every year..... the same amount as deaths from bee stings and lightning strikes.
Quakes, twisters and hurricanes are going to happen.......just a matter when. But like our "friends" down here I suppose ya just learn to live with em'.
I'd be the last person in the world to hand out any advice on kickin' the durries. All I know is, if I were to quit, they'd have to lock me in a padded cell for a couple of months......... in a straitjacket!
Ken from Canada: You just don't get it, do ya? McCartney is in the limelight because he wants to be there.
He's not stupid. He's knows every time he opens his mouth people will hang of every word that comes out.
If he really wants the quiet, idyllic lifestyle he'd stay shacked up in his Mull of Kintyre tending to his vegies, while reminiscing on days gone past.
It seems he isn't keen on that idea.
And after all........ he does have an upcoming concert to perform at.
G'day EasyWriter: After reading your comment I'm trying to work out exactly where I'm mistaken. I stated that the the moon hasn't changed much in 4.5 million years and you have said nothing to dispute this.
I wasn't referring to its orbit or its gravitational pull causing tides (on Earth); just the fact the actual moon does not change its appearance. No atmosphere and water means no wind and water erosion. There are no tectonic plates so rifts and mountains aren't formed; and there's no volcanic activity. In other words........ it's as dead as a dodo.
And as Earth is a bigger target, you'd have to assume we've been hit with more meteors than the moon. We probably have but all the evidence disappears over time.......... unlike the moon. And 70% of the Earth's surface is water after all.
And yes Venus; I probably am getting away from all the romantic, mystical and soppy stuff but hey....... I can't find any other blogs to comment on!
Errr, sorry Venus, but I have to pull you up on your ever-changing moon.
Apart from the odd dimple due to meteorite strike, it hasn't changed one bit in 4.5 billion years...... except, of course, for a bit of rubbish left behind by some tourists a few decades back.
RE: The case of the disappearing profiles
Actually....... that's not a bad ploy to get more people to view ya blog!
