well, I haven't really heard anyone say this. I heard some say the developers wanted something simpler then the old desktop, which doesn't make much sense to me. But - most free distribution take a lot of - not so good programs - almost forcing it on people. Then debug it and give feedback to developers. So, I thought it could make sense to come up with something that may run on tablets - as I don't consider the gnome community as dumb, - I am inclined to believe there is some well thought of idea behind it, else I don't see the justification for it. My hunch.
well, I shy away from anything that has NVIDIA - simply because they have not been any cooperative with anything beside Microsoft - it seems. Been happy with AMD and ATI - and it was a joy when my chipset was supported by xorg. But right now I am pretty tired of the GNOME 3 stupidity. Perhaps I am missing some vital insight as to how and why they came up with this.
Well, the gospel in those books may have you return the favor one day - so it may be good for business :) And sometimes your wishes are heard, and - in fact, isn't that what we have been told ? Try remember what you thought, your feelings and desires at the moment you placed the order. Thanks for sharing
but would you really be that interested in mitre-cuts if women had the alpha role ? Why not go for a Lamborgini or something else, and have her do the cuts herself ?
@Rubicon76 - I have not been in Thailand, and had to look up on some statistics. You are right about the animals, several hatch more of one gender due to temperature, etc.
However, my numbers are taken from this site alone. Scandinavia offer benefits which a lot of poor countries may envy, and of course there has been some migration and so on.
In several countries, a decrepancy in age is more tolerated. As gender equality increase, I think there is a higher demand for equality in age as well. In other words, perhaps it would be harder to find a younger wife in your own country, if that is what males would be looking for. On the other hand, women held high positions in Scandinavia, much because of the women liberation movement some decades ago. It went a bit too far, if you ask me. So far that many males felt uncomfortable. I know several that found wifes from Asia, which receive a very different treatment.
There may be many reasons, which hasn't been mentioned. But I was a bit surprised about the figures I found.
@LuckyFreshMentos - nope, I don't think so. There are a lot more women on dating sites here, then men. My figures that I presented is from this site - ConnectingSingles. In other words, the figures show that more Scandinavian men are willing to look for women elsewhere.
The local dating sites, does cost quite a bit of money. Women don't seem to mind that perhaps, as they may figure that anyone putting up money are more serious about it. Perhaps they also think it is safer. And of course - it may be smarter :) A better chance to meet someone if you are within reach with a bus ticket then an airplane ticket :)
saddestangel7 - well, I suppose the children takes the centerstage. Maybe that isn't the same everywhere ?
Let say, - in a country with poor medical aid, the deaths among children are high. On a psychological level, perhaps you somehow would distance yourself a bit, meaning the children doesn't get the same kind of attention. Childbearing would make women more dependant on a good provider, etc.
So you are blessed with TWO of those. Keep them off rocket fuel, "laurdagsgodteri" ( candy ), and other suspicious substance. I ran away from home, as soon as I was able to climb the counter in the stores for those large lollipops - but then, they knew where to find me
Why ? - parti, I thought the most obvious thing would be some serious doctors in white. If they arrive in space-suits, then YOU KNOW you are in some deep "dung"- cow madness, probably
Had a 7 year old kid in a cano up Hillsborough River, and he stretched out for his paddle ore he lost. Before I could say he shouldn't, we rolled around. There were gators around, and with this panic stricken kid in my arms, it was drama enough. Hours later, I grabbed hold of some tree roots, while waiting for some others to catch up with us. I had not noticed the water moccasin that was less the 2 inches from my fingers. That became some scary long minutes of a careful withdraw. The only good part was the shower and dry clothes after the trip. True story from Tampa
