Alcohol is a drug, the mind CANNOT cure it, it cannot be cured but only abstinent from this drug alcohol, it can be put it into remission. An yes it is not fully understood but two medical research theories have 90%+? in how it occurs, much in the genetic arrangement inside the brain which is much more complex than can be explained here in both this medium and theoretically speaking. P.S. If you don't drink you can never be an ALCOHOLIC!
