@Jana No I wasn't a vampire goth girl! Though I do like some aspects of the style....but never did try to look like that! I was just a regular rocker girl in the 80's then the grunge rocker rebel in the '90's! Today if I was younger, I'd be an Emo girl! And probably a skateboard chick as well.
hehe I got to be the grunge Rebel Jana! I have lots of good memories! My all time favorite album is Pearl Jam's Ten. Love it! Hard to believe Nirvana's Nevermind is 20 years old this Sept!
@Jana Yes, youth in the 80's was great but the best time of my life was my early 20's when grunge came along! I liked that fashion better! Though not as feminine as you like Jana! Just simple hair, jeans, plaid shirt, and Doc Martens! I've always liked the more edgier look! Docs are back in style and I would like to get another pair!
Hi Jana! Remember Madonna would wear the headband with a big bow? I had one but it was much smaller. Can't believe I did that! So lame! I remember the long necklaces too!
For music I was into the hard rock/metal bands. Not so much the pop stuff. Some of the pop stuff was quite lame and to me is some of the worst music ever.
I had the big hair in the 80's! Then in the late 80's I had the rocker hair!
For style, I remember the big hoop earrings and the mini skirts. I hated wearing the blazers with the big shoulder pads! I think also some girls tried to dress Madonnish!
@G Gurl I one upped ya! I severely sprained my ankle over the weekend and hurt my tailbone. I'm off for xrays tomorrow! Dam it, I didn't know there was one more stair! Note to self: turn the lights on first before going down the stairs in the dark!! That's the 2nd time I've had that type of fall. The first time I broke my foot! Hope tomorrows xrays will be fine! Hope you are healing and still milking it!!!! Hope I get to do the same!
Awwww! Niece's are awesome aren't they! I have two that are teens now but I loved the princess stage! So cute! Time goes by so fast at this age! Enjoy it!
hey music hun!! yuup - im back to my old tricks again. sigh. not even half a year yet. grr.. . - lucky i dont drink alcohol lovey, now THAT would be a sight to see, huh? (shudders...)..
I was hoping you didn't drink! You don't need it! You're doing just fine without it! Take care of that ankle and enjoy being waited on! Milk it all you can!
How are you doing with the mozzies? I hear Edmonton is the mosquito capital of Canada and even the Eskimos had to practice inside. (That's a football team folks, not real Eskimos! )
I'm with you Belle. When I was younger I liked them my age or older. Now I like them younger than me. I'd go 5-10 years, not sure about more than that. I asked someone who was 13 years younger than me what he thought about the age difference. He just said 'what are you gonna have a heart attack when you kiss me?" lol! Can't help what you're attracted to. But I'd still date someone a little older if the chemistry was right.
I was just talking about them tonight. They were amazing at the time. I think they broke up cause of Axl's big ego. I love Slash though, one of the best guitarists ever! Appetite for Destruction was one of the best debut selling albums of all time!
I am guessing they are hiding from the children that they are dating other people. I would rather be honest and separate/divorce and be amicable for the children.
@Legend lol! Glad you said that.......cause if it were me I would see if he would make the first move too and unless I hear something from him, I would continue to date! But I'm not afraid to make the first move though if I really wanted to!
@Legend Since it's your first date, it's not serious so I would continue to date other people until you're sure he's the one you want to be with. Or if you prefer dating one at a time that's OK too. It's whatever feels best to you. If you want to be in a serious relationship with him then just talk to him and see what he says. If he feels the same, great! But make sure you know him well and are certain he's a good guy who will treat you right. If he seems he likes you but yet doesn't seem to want to give you an answer, well keep on dating! In any case, take things slow and just have fun! Good luck!
@Lana I think it's great to be nice and kind hearted but not to a point where people would take advantage of you. So overly nice is not good. You have to know when to say no and stick up for yourself. Not be a doormat and let people walk all over you.
RE: What were we thinking? lol
haha! You're amazing too Jana!
