@Piers I try to let stress roll off my back like my other Grandma but my Nana would stress me out so bad, I'd make a trip to the liquor store so I could go home and wind down with a good drink!!!!!!! Not very often did I do that but sometimes you hit the wall!!!!! lol!
Your views are completely right Piers. My Nana fretted all the time. But it was almost ingrained in her from losing 2 husbands in the war at a young age and her sister around the same time. After that I think she always expected doom and gloom. I tried to talk to her but I could never change her way of thinking. I spent a ton of time with her in the end as she need more and more help and her worrying wore me down and stressed me out. She stressed about every little thing. It gets worse with age. I told myself I will never be like that! Sometimes if something bad happened in the family we didn't tell her or if we did it was after the fact. What's the point in getting her all riled up? I see it in a couple of her daughters now and I just want to shake them! But yet if there was a death in the family my Nana was always so strong and held the family up. So it was the small stuff that she couldn't handle. I want to be like my other Grandma who was cool as a cucumber and let everything roll off her back. She use to say 'if something has happened already what can you do about it now. Sit and stew over it? She had a great attitude.
K, I love music and like some heavy metal but I don't know any of those bands lol! Shocker!!!! They must be death or thrash metal? And you will see the best ones from those countries you listed, even Brazil I think. They love their metal and outdoor festivals. Better than North America. The heaviest I go is Megadeath and Anthrax which I only know a few songs of each and of course Metallica, especially the old stuff!
There's a girl name Jana here, she might recognize those bands.
I don't mind younger guys....but it depends on what they are looking for whether they just want a good time or they sincerely want a long term relationship. Obviously there could be issues and differences with the age........like children etc.
@Makis I don't know too much about the financial aspect Not sure how they afford it. They always have money, even when things appear tough. Guess they inherited a lot from the Queen Mom?
I know the Queen has cut down a lot on expenses, she had no choice as I think she was feeling the pinch. Like the Britannia yacht and I know she took the public train somewhere (of course she didn't ride with the public).
I may be wrong but if I remember correctly there was a British guy in the forums who said the Royal family is paying for the wedding but the government is paying for the security.
Well if ya haven't been raised with it then you ain't gonna like it are ya? I got up for Charles and Diana's wedding when I was 12. So didn't want to miss this one though it's on a slightly smaller scale.
