Unfortunately they don't realise it no. They don't have the self-awareness for that to happen. They are responsible for people's lives and are doing immense damage. They are also turning nasty, a government minister here in Ireland was confronted by a group of them outside his home in a remote area, very intimidating.
The American people are hardly responsible for what happened 100 years ago, or 50 years ago.....your argument is best described as 'whataboutery'...can you not just condemn what happened instead of qualifying it by bringing in other things?
The legend that was Charlie Watts has died, A modest man he was happy to let the other stones take the limelight. Married in 1964 he stayed married, despite the 'opportunities', to play around, for the rest of his life.
In fairness the voting system does seem a bit 'untidy' compared to others such as ours. A reform of it seems justified but will be hard as both parties will want to gain from it.
