Havent smoked since last saturday morning, still have a smokers cough, been told Ill be coughing for another 2 to 3 weeks b4 the system is completely cleared, dont want to jeopardise that Rob.
I was curled up when the ambos arrived, the stent has taken the pain away. So far its cold turkey for me was even offered patches in hospital but refused them. Ill be on medication for a couple of yrs so by then hope I never ever take it up. Im the only 1 out of 20 in the family that smokes.
After the scare and 3 days in the heart ward I can only agree with Daggy. It may of course well be as I used to think, all is good in moderation but in my case I know I over did it.
Actually,this is how it happened yesterday morning. Doctor came in said "good morning I hear its your b/day today, what would you like for your b/day?" I said, I really wanna go home. Looked at me and said " I think that can be arranged" Second chance maybe. Hey thanks to all of you, havent smoked since saturday and not going to, think someone on here can say how a heavy a smoker I was.
Hey, thanks everyone for all the good wishes. I would still be thinking like Rob before what happened to me saturday morning. Lot of things can cause heart attacks mine was heavy smoking unfortunately. I would never have admitted it before, have now.
Alway wondered too, but didnt want to look silly by asking. I kept thinking maybe Clarence the Lion? Ye well everytime I see the word Clrence I think of a Lion, but then Jimmy comes to mind.

Hey sorry ajax, didnt mean to offend, havent seen the movie, but I do remember how I used to make love to a cigarette
