Migrants dump rubbish in the streets in protest over the fact the free Italian villa they have been given does not have a CLEANER and wi-fi

Migrants have dumped rubbish in the streets in protest at not getting a cleaner or wi-fi at the free villa they have been given for shelter.

The 24 refugees are up in arms after demanding someone clean up after them in the Italian duplex where they have been housed since arriving from sub-Saharan Africa last summer.

They are also angry at not being provided free internet, which has prevented them from contacting relatives back home.

The demonstrations, which first took place last week, also blocked main roads in the town of Ceranova, near Milan, sparking heated rows with members of the local community.

The town's mayor, Alessandro Grieco, was forced to intervene personally with the help of three police officers to calm the situation, it was reported by The Local, which cited La Repubblica.

Mr Grieco has expelled the 24-year-old leader of the protests from the villa.

He said: 'The migrants have obviously flagged up a few issues for them but this is not the way to draw attention to them.

'We absolutely won't tolerate protests like this.'

Sharia law ‘exists in Austria and Germany’

A Pakistani-Austrian author who converted from Islam to Catholicism has said that Muslims who refuse to integrate should not be able to live in Europe, and that Sharia law is being openly practised in Austria and Germany.

In an interview with the Kronen Zeitung newspaper Sabatina James (not her real name) said that the teachings of the prophet Muhammad encourage violence. “He called for women to be beaten and for adulteresses to be stoned, for apostates to be executed… if all this violence has nothing to do with Islam, then Mohammed has nothing to do with Islam.”

She added that “there are democratic Muslims, no question - they are not the problem… but the established theology of Islam must deal with the problem of violence against women. But it lacks critical debate.”

She went on to say that “a parallel justice system is being practised, under the motto that either women submit to systematic violence or they will be liquidated.”

James, 33, moved from Pakistan to a small village in Austria as a child but later had to flee her family after she resisted a forced marriage aged 17. After she converted to Christianity her father told her that he had sentenced her to death for tainting the family’s honour.

James has written a number of books about her experiences as a Catholic convert from Islam, and receives regular death threats. She now lives under police protection in Germany.

She said that she agreed with Austrian integration minister Sebastian Kurz’s plan to introduce penalties for Muslims who are unwilling to learn German or Austrian values but said that Austria should go further and deport recognised Islamists who show that they are opposed to democracy. “People shouldn’t have the feeling that they can come to this country and that they will be allowed to stay here even if they fail to respect human rights.”

Kurz calls for Islamic school closures

Austrian integration minister Sebastien Kurz has called for the immediate closure of "many Islamic kindergartens," and insisted on tighter controls to prevent radicalization.

The minister commissioned a study of Islamic kindergartens and associated educational groups in Austria, and was shocked by the findings.

The report, prepared by Professor Ednan Aslan at the Institute for Islamic Studies at the University of Vienna, made for disturbing reading.

According to a report in the Kurier newspaper, the report suggests that many Muslim parents in Austria are seeking to establish a parallel world, which isolates their children from any non-Islamic influences during their formative years.

"Many parents want to create a one hundred percent Islamic environment for their children," said Aslan.

This was usually motivated by a key question asked by the parents: "How do we protect our children from the majority society, before moral decay begins?"

As a result, a competition has now arisen between the kindergartens, as to which one could offer the most conservative and most religious environment.

There are 150 Islamic kindergartens in Vienna, most of which receive state funding. "I am convinced that we should close many of these facilities right away," said Kurz.
Aslan also emphasized that there were many Muslims who were not placing their children with such extremist kindergartens, and these were going to have an easier time with integration.

Concerns

The primary concerns cited by Kurz from the report were as follows:

Personnel: According to Aslan's study, the child minders are almost exclusively devout Muslims, meaning that the children would not be exposed to any alternative views. Many of the staff were trained in two-week crash courses - which in turn are offered by organizations closely linked to the organizers of the kindergartens.

Curriculum: There were significant differences between the official curriculum, which was used as a basis for requesting funding, and what was actually being taught, which was barely different from what can be found in madrassas in predominantly Muslim countries such as Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Language: Although according to the study "almost all children need targeted language support", there is a lack of suitable staff. Many educators are partially trained abroad and "have insufficient language support competence".

In addition, there are kindergartens in which almost no German is spoken - which is absurd, since this was made compulsory at least in the last year of kindergarten for each child, especially to deal with this issue.

Religion: Islam classes often offer an "outdated understanding of sin", and "fail to adequately promote pluralist thought," according to Aslan.

He continued: "Independent thinking and action are not promoted, enforced by the imposition of strict religious rules, and are even made taboo."

Stricter controls

So what is to be done? Kurz stressed that he was not opposed to private, religious kindergartens - of whatever denomination. "But the desire to protect children from the majority society, is highly problematic. The aim of separation is entirely the wrong approach."

Kurz called for an end to "the politics of ignoring the problem and hoping it will go away. Pretending that there is no problem does not help us."

Specifically, he added this means stricter controls at the state level on kindergartens, and if necessary, stricter national laws that govern the actions of the kindergarten management, the qualifications and training of its workers, and a stronger focus on the inculcation of German language skills.

Two police, four 'radical Islamists' killed in Azerbaijan raid

Baku (AFP) - Two policemen and four alleged members of a radical Islamist group have been killed in a shootout during a raid in Azerbaijan, the interior ministry said Thursday.

The suspects opened fire when police attempted to arrest "leaders of an unregistered radical Islamist group," the ministry said in a statement.

The group, called the Movement for Muslim Unity, "resisted the police officers, who were attacked with a grenade and automatic fire," the statement said, without specifying when the incident in the village of Nardaran north of Baku took place.

"As a result, four group members were liquidated and several more injured. Two policemen died in the clash." Fourteen people were arrested, including the leader of the group Tale Bagirzade, authorities said.

The raid on the organisation was ordered following an "investigation" that showed that "this group is planning provocations, mass unrest and acts of terror in order to disrupt the socio-political stability in the country."

The ministry said the group's goal was to establish a sharia state in Azerbaijan, a majority Shia Muslim but secular country headed by strongman President Ilham Aliyev.

The Movement for Muslim Unity earlier this month organised a protest near Baku against the detention of another group leader Elchin Gasymov. Police arrested but later released several people.

Italian police seize 800 shotguns bound for Belgium: statement

Italian police seized almost 800 shotguns bound for Belgium from Turkey from a truck that arrived in the northeastern port of Trieste, a statement said on Thursday.

The finance police, who are often in charge of port security, said that while customs rules had not been violated, the Turkish truck driver did not have the licenses needed to transport the 781 Winchester SXP shotguns.

Pump-action Winchester SXP rifles are made for hunting and are not considered assault weapons, but police said they had "substantially" increased their border inspections in the wake of the Nov. 13 Paris attacks and subsequent alert in Belgium.

"Given the delicate nature of the cargo, its origin and its destination, the documentation regarding the rifles was immediately examined," the statement said.

According to the company's website, the shotguns seized are the fastest pump-action rifles in the market, capable of delivering three shots in half a second.

The Islamist militants who killed 130 people in the French capital mainly used Kalashnikov assault rifles, or AK-47s.

The silence was held before a friendly game between the Turkish national team and Greece on Tuesday night in Istanbul. There are long standing historical tensions between the two rival nations, and it was the first time the two teams had met for eight years.

Fans in the 17,000 strong sell-out crowd began jeering and shouting as soon the collective gesture of respect and morning for the victims and refection on the horrors that befell France began.

As well as “Allahu Akbar” — Arabic for “god is great” — spectators also chanted, “the martyrs are immortal, the fatherland indivisible”, a popular slogan used by nationalists against the Kurdish, but also one which appears to imply sympathy for the dead ISIS terrorists and suicide bombers.

Speaking after the game, the Turkish manager Fatih Terim suggested that fans at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium should have been more respectful.

“Our fans should have behaved during the national anthems and during the one minute silence,” he said, adding: “Greece is our neighbour. Today is world neighbours day, but our fans didn’t behave like neighbours in this match.”

Fresh fears ISIS is using refugee crisis to smuggle into Europe as Turkish police arrest eight suspects are caught with hand-written migration routes

Turkish police have detained eight suspected members of ISIS who were planning to sneak into Europe posing as refugees, state media said today.

Counter-terror police detained the suspects in Istanbul's Ataturk Airport after they flew in from the Moroccan city of Casablanca on Tuesday, the official Anatolia news agency reported.

The police found a hand-written note on one of the suspects detailing a migration route from Istanbul to Germany via Greece, Serbia and Hungary, including smuggler boats across the Mediterranean Sea, as well as several train and bus journeys.

It comes just a day after it was revealed eight migrants have reached the EU using passports identical to the fake one found on one of the Paris suicide bombers.

The eight men told police that they were just tourists who had been planning to spend a few days in Istanbul and had booked rooms at a hotel, but no reservations were found under their names.

Who were the terrorists?

Up to 20 involved in attack

With seven suicide bombers dead, seven others under arrest and one man on the run, 15 men have so far been linked to the Paris attacks.

But Belgian intelligence officials have suggested that up to 20 people may have been part of the terrorist cell that planned the attacks, meaning a total of six people could be on the run.

'Ahmad Al Mohammad' - died in suicide bomb at Stade de France

The real name of the suicide bomber apparently carrying a fake Syrian passport when he detonated at the Stade de France remains a mystery, but officials say he entered Europe as an asylum seeker less than two months earlier.

The counterfeit document bearing the name 'Ahmad al Mohammad' was found alongside the body, whose fingerprints match a man using the name to enter Greece in early October.

Federica Mogherini, the EU's chief diplomat, said all the attackers are believed to be EU citizens, however, raising the possibility the man was using the fake passport to re-enter Europe, possibly because his real identity was on a watch list.

The discovery has raised fears other militants may have used the migrant crisis to pose as refugees and enter Europe among crowds making their way from Greece through the Balkans to Western Europe.

Greek authorities say the passport was used by an asylum seeker who registered on the island of Leros on October 3 after his makeshift boat from Turkey carrying around 70 migrants foundered off the coast and he was picked up by Greek coastguards.

He then reportedly applied for asylum in Serbia before travelling on to Croatia, Hungary, Austria, Germany and eventually to France.

Juncker: Don’t mix up terrorists and refugees

The attackers in Paris and Middle East refugees should not be mixed up, warned EU Commission president Jean-Claude Juncker on Sunday (15 November).

He also called on member states not to reject people who are fleeing from the same terror that shocked the French capital on Friday night.

"We should not mix the different categories of people coming to Europe," Juncker told a news conference in Antalya, Turkey, where a G20 summit of world leaders is taking place.

“Those who organised these attacks and those that perpetrated them are exactly those that the refugees are fleeing and not the opposite,” he said.

“The one responsible for the attacks in Paris ... he is a criminal and not a refugee and not an asylum seeker,” Juncker added, saying there is no reason for Europe to change its refugee policy.

The attacks late on Friday which killed 129 people reinforced concerns of some Europeans about taking in Muslim refugees fleeing war and poverty from mostly Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan.

According to media reports, one of the terrorists had entered the EU via Greece with a Syrian passport. This was confirmed by Greek authorities, but other reports said the passport was fake.

The events are already fuelling EU debate on how to handle the massive arrivals of migrants and refugees.

In the wake of the attacks, Poland's new Europe minister, Konrad Szymanski said Saturday that his government did not agree with Poland's earlier commitment to accept its share of an EU-wide relocation of refugees, and now, “in the face of the tragic acts in Paris, we do not see the political possibilities to implement .”

Slovak prime minister Robert Fico, whose country is to challenge the refugees relocation plan in court, said Saturday: “We have been saying that there are enormous security risks linked to migration. Hopefully, some people will open their eyes now.”

Under the deal, Poland agreed to take in 4,500 refugees. Slovakia rejected the plan.

However, Juncker warned that EU leaders should not jump to conclusions, and said there is no need to change the bloc’s plan to relocate 160,000 refugees from Italy and Greece - the countries where most people enter the EU - to other member states.

"I would invite those in Europe who try to change the migration agenda we adopted. I would like to remind them to be serious about this and not to give in to these basic reactions which I do not like,” Juncker said.

Germany’s chancellor Angela Merkel also stood by her open-arms policy after the attacks, despite growing political pressure from her coalition allies in recent weeks to seal the border.

Germany is a favorite destination of refugees, of whom over 800,000 are expected this year.

Fresh criticism came from Merkel’s Bavarian allies following the Paris attacks.

“The days of uncontrolled immigration and illegal entry can't continue just like that. Paris changes everything,” Bavarian finance minister Markus Soeder told the Welt am Sonntag newspaper.

Meanwhile, leaders of EU institutions expressed sympathy with France in a statement on Saturday, saying the attack “is an attack against us all.”

They pledged that “everything that can be done at European level to make France safe will be done,” and called on Europeans to join in one minute of silence in memory of the victims at noon on Monday.

National day of mourning on Sunday, Fidesz Congress to be postponed

The Prime Minister began his statement by saying that it is hard to find words; the most important thing is to express sympathy and solidarity with the French people and the President of France.

The Prime Minister said that at its Saturday morning meeting the security task force had introduced reinforced security measures to be observed by all at sites such as major transport intersections, railway stations and Budapest airport.

“This will involve some inconvenience, so I would ask people to accept these measures with patience and understanding, because it is necessary to reinforce our security”, Mr Orbán said.

He said that “we have elevated to one hundred per cent” the B-level terrorism threat assessment in Hungary. As a result, there will be more police officers on the streets, with improved weaponry.

The events are being assessed and, if necessary, further measures will be implemented, because the security of Hungary and the Hungarian people is paramount, the Prime Minister said.

He also announced that the Government has declared a national day of mourning for Sunday.

The Fidesz congress originally planned to be held on Sunday will be postponed; in explanation, Mr Orbán said that a party congress is always a cause for celebration, and at a time like this there is no room for celebration.

Regarding the Hungary-Norway football match to be held in Budapest on Sunday, he said that the Hungarian Football Federation and the Ministry of Interior are already engaged in talks, and the circumstances under which the match will be held will depend on UEFA’s decision.

In answer to a question on whether there is any sign that Hungary may also be the target of a terrorist attack, the Prime Minister said that nothing can be ruled out; “at this point in time we have no data at our disposal indicating a direct threat, but this could change at any time”. “There is no such thing as absolute security; we must create the highest level of security possible in the circumstances”, Mr Orbán said.

Europe is begging for security from Turkey

In his evaluation of the Valetta EU summit, the Prime Minister told public service television news channel M1 that a once proud Europe “is begging for security”, instead of protecting its borders with its own strength. Viktor Orbán also reiterated that Hungary must reject the importation of a million migrants from Turkey.

The Prime Minister said that the situation appears to be increasingly worrying: while migrants are arriving in the territory of the European Union in groups of five, six or even ten thousand a day without any kind of control, “the series of meetings that lead nowhere” continues.

Mr. Orbán pointed out that not only has Europe come no closer to a solution, but “we are floating into dangerous waters”, because the summit’s only “resolution through acclamation” – given that no formal decision was adopted – was that they will hold talks with Turkey as a strategic partner under any conditions.

He said that in theory this is acceptable, but in this form it is a strategic error because, in his view, Europe must not find itself in a situation in which it is unable to resolve an issue through its own resources, hoping to see its security guaranteed by a third party. Even if it does find itself in such a situation, it must not admit it.

“Europe appears to have given up its plan, its dream, its duty to be able to protect its own borders with its own strength, and is instead hoping to secure protection through diplomatic negotiations with the Turks”, he said. The Prime Minister said that a once proud Europe is compelled to play the role of a beggar: instead of building up its own strength, it is begging for security from someone else.

Mr. Orbán said that he had warned Europe against doing this. The Hungarian position is that the EU should only engage in negotiations with Turkey once it is able “to build a sustainable line of defence” from its own resources.

If this line of defence is not the southern border of Greece, he added, it should be built further north, to make it clear that “while we are happy to cooperate with Turkey, because then we could both make more progress”, it is not an absolute necessity to reach an agreement, because we are also able to protect our countries on our own. He said that Europe had failed to take this option, and had rejected the Hungarian proposal.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that, while “no one has ever decided on this, no one has ever approved this”, a plan is unfolding for one million migrants to be transported from Turkey to Europe and distributed around Europe. Hungary must reject this, he said.

He added that it is simply inconceivable that one million people should be transported from Turkey to Europe and then be distributed among countries which never voted for this decision.

Drahonice, North Bohemia - Forty-four refugees from the Drahonice detention centre have launched a hunger strike in protest against their detention in the Czech Republic and possible return to their home countries, Mikulas Vymetal, a protestant priest in contact with the refugees, told CTK yesterday.

According to a statement that CTK received from Vymetal, the mostly Iraqi refugees complain of being detained in the country for more than 90 days in some cases. They write that they fled against fighting, prison and violence only to get into a new fight and prison and to be treated as if they were monsters.

Vymetal said some of the refugees fear that they would be returned to their homeland because they received a decision on their deportation.

The refugees going on hunger strike say they were not going to return home to die, and that they would die in the detention facility instead.

Vymetal said he was in contact with the refugees already when they were in the Bela-Jezova detention facility.

The Drahonice facility has been operating since early October.
Ombudsman Anna Sabatova and some NGOs assisting foreigners criticised the way, in which refugees were treated in the detention centres. Minister for Human Rights Jiri Dienstbier shared some of the criticism.

Justice Minister Robert Pelikan visited Drahonice last weekend and said he was satisfied with the living conditions in the facility.

The former prison in Drahonice has recently been turned into a detention centre for illegal immigrants. More than half of its 240 beds are currently occupied and only men are staying in the facility.

Luxembourg: 'False nationalism can lead to war' in Europe

The migration crisis facing Europe could lead to the collapse of the European Union and even to war, the bloc's longest-running foreign minister said in an interview published Monday (9 November).

Jean Asselborn, foreign minister of Luxembourg since 2004, told German press agency DPA that the core EU element of borderless travel, agreed in the Luxembourg city of Schengen in 1985, is under threat.

“We have maybe only several months time left [to save it]," he said.

“The European Union can break apart. That can happen incredibly fast, when isolation instead of solidarity, both inwards and outwards, becomes the rule.”

Asselborn is not the first European politician to warn of a break-up.

Slovenian prime minister Miro Cerar said last month he believed the EU would “fall apart” if no solution is found to slow down the influx of refugees and migrants.

But with Luxembourg holding the six-month rotating presidency of EU and counting itself among the bloc's six founding states, its words carry extra weight.

The Grand Duchy's centre-left minister criticised politicians who use fear of migration as a way to appeal to voters, saying there are in the EU “some who have not truly internalised the value of the European Union, which is not only material value."

“The glue that holds us together is still the culture of human values. And this false nationalism can lead to a real war," noted Asselborn.

He didn't speak of how war could break out, but, like Germany's Angela Merkel in recent days, he expressed worry about rising tension in the Western Balkans - the main migratory route.

"When the lid is shut in Sweden and Germany, then I do not know what will happen in the Balkans", said Asselborn.

"I believe that there is already a very, very critical situation."

The migration crisis will be on top of the agenda in Brussels again this week, as interior ministers meet Monday to discuss relocations of migrants.

EU leaders are also meeting with African heads of state in Malta on Wednesday (11 November) and holding a separate, EU-only summit in Valletta the following day.
