RE: profile pics w kids

Thats a major pet hate of mine Cunningman. I wont even respond to a man with a pic of a child on his profile; I dont know what they do be thinking! Its so dangerous, especially on a 'dating' site. There are a lot of sick people using sites like this, pictures can be cropped, copied and pasted and put up on any 'hidden' sites like 'Dark internet' and used in all sorts of ways. I understand people like to show off their kids or grandkids but there are plenty of ways other than a dating site to do that.

RE: MEN

Someone took the current out of your bun...... :-(

RE: Anybody else think it is wrong?.....

Ah yes, I found it! And you dont appear to be the only one thinking like this Og:

RE: Anybody else think it is wrong?.....

Whats the name of the book Og, iv been trying to find it online to see what you mean but I cant seem to see it?

RE: would you date someone that is a homebody(movies and music at home) and doesn't do social drinking o

I think most people are home bodies now anyway. I know for me there is no comparison, I love my nights in, iv done all the pubs clubs and out stuff. I think it runs its course. I only do one night out occasionally now and quite happy with that.

RE: do china have internet ?

They do have internet which is heavily controlled. They dont have Google or Facebook or some other sites but you can buy a gizmo and set it up yourself before you go there. They have their own versions of Google and FB etc over there.

RE: Holidays

Its such a pain especially when you've to pay extra for going anywhere alone doh frustrated dunno

RE: review your home insurace policy...I did

Not only that but you are only covered for rebuild costs and NOT the market value. Most people are over insured and an insurer wont pay the difference. For instance if the market value (sell price) would be e350k but it would only cost e150k to rebuild, you need to insure it for e150 as you wont get the extra e200k if it burnt to the ground. Also, most people have their contents over insured. Ridiculously so. The living room is generally the most expensive room in the house, in most cases. If you evaluate this room, then evaluate each room other than that and tot it all up. Thats your contents cover, no more no less. You wont get more that this. In Ireland, our insurance companies use the Chartered Surveyors of Ireland to value property in Ireland, chances are, its the same in each country but you need to check yours. But, using this guide, it will give you the county by county value per sq ft so you can just do the math for the rebuild costs.

RE: This is where I live at the mo.

How did you get that footage? Its cool!

RE: sorry if im in da the wrong thread for this ,

Drunk or sober, Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaank you James peace yay yay yay yay

RE: Phobias ???????

Thanks for that Stanley...............nightmares tonight so!!

Im ok on the plane, just getting to it is ify. The bridges thing goes back to when i was a kid and we were brought to the natural history museum on a school trip. We were brought up onto the ledge to look around and when i peered down, a massive prehistoric mammoth was looking right at me and i nearly feel off the ledge. The lifts is about being trapped in one for hours in the ballymun tower when visiting someone

RE: Phobias ???????

Jeez, i dont know what half of those phobias are but I've a problem with lifts and walking over slim bridges. I have never walked over the h'penny bridge, get squidgy just at the idea. I find it a nightmare walking through the glass 'hall' to my Terminal in dublin airport....I dread flying anywhere cos of it............thats me.

RE: Retirement --> Life after the slog!!!

I took early retirement too, decided to re-invent before it was too late. It was sooooo weird at first to not have a routine - the getting up, the traffic, the familiar desk every day - but I soon loved to wake slowly, potter around and plan ish the day ahead. I did feel directionless for a while so I Went back to college to study Chinese, hoping to go there so I needed some insight and to know the language a bit.
On the whole, although I had doubts I had done the right thing, I know now it was the right one. The ME that is becoming, is someone I am growing into. I feel my eyes and mind have been opened as I am no longer institutionalised. Freedom is the greatest gift I ever could have given myself.

RE: Parasitic Ad

We must all get different ads cos iv never seen that one

RE: Do You Smoke e-cigarettes Regularly?

Today is the anniversary of my 1st yr off smokes since using E-cigs. I didnt start out to go off cigs but i bought one of these things, VIP E CIGS, and never smoked a cigarette since the 20/1/14, simply didnt see the need. I had 40 cigarettes left but never got back to them. I dont miss em, never did. Only problem is to stop using these e-cigs, they are so comforting. Over the past yr, i have naturally dropped from 24mgs to 16mgs and to vape only. 24mgs is 10% of whats in a cig.......... but your bod seems to ease you off the need for mgs naturally and slowly......like you're not forced, it just happens you need less

RE: Cancer and Pollution

Cancer is rampant in my family. I've lost many to this disease, some smokers some not. It is not purely down to coal though as there are many types of cancer. My Mother, for instance, died from neither coal related nor smoking related cancer as did my grandmother. My uncle died from smoking related, my brother has survived massive cancer, though a major smoker but not coal; I believe we concentrate too much one 1 or 2 cancer related causes and not enough on the 128 causes.

RE: Charlie Hebdo

You are too touchy!! Cartoons are made of every race, religion and creed. It enables people to laugh AND TALK about it, and respect that difference. I dont understand how you dont get that.
I was in Paris this week, got back last night, and the people are wonderful, so friendly and approachable, wouldnt hurt a living thing. When in the airport I observed every race on the planet. I marveled at how different families greet each other in arrivals - muslims, jews, sheiks and christians - it was wonderful to see the love; and i wondered why, when people are so open to love.............Why are you so touchy.

RE: Word to Live By - Part 3

Eat the Peach! Live it! Work it! Feel it! Get out there, take your shoes and socks off, walk in that wet grass................and feeeeeeeeeeeel what it does to you inside..............wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: help downhill fast

Wow! Hard to believe you're 66! Lookin good!!!!!!!! Lotta much younger guys on here look in their 60s and claim to be late 40s or 50s.

Hey listen, I am divorced, its no biggy my friend though life wrenching if you're still 'feeling' for the person. If this is you hun, my heart goes out to you BUT you WILL get through it. A year from now, you'll look back with a different heart and smile at how far you've come.........promise!

RE: Destination Long Term!

RE: No one to confident my heartbroken pain, just share here to feel better

Chat, have you ever dated a guy? Probably not! I have, and have come across this myself, where a guy says he needs 'time'. They ALWAYS came back after a time and wanted to try again but by then I had moved on and was no longer interested.

RE: No one to confident my heartbroken pain, just share here to feel better

Baihe, he didnt say it was over, he said to give him time. There is a big difference! Sometimes when someone is about to make a big change in their life, such as settle down or change jobs, they need time to 'sit with it' to get their head around the idea. Guys are often like this especially where emotions are concerned. I think you should take this time to get YOUR head around it, be yourself, do things you enjoy so you will feel more whole. That way, if you still want him and he DOES get in touch, he will find a clear minded well adjusted lady and feel ready to further explore the relationship. If he doesnt get back to you, you will have filled your time and space with a better and healed you. Ni shi hen hao ren.

RE: Profiles

Well now, I didnt even KNOW you could have more than one profile...!!!

RE: The Shawshank Redemption ,is it on your list of one of the best?

Shindlers list too :-)

RE: Why do so Many Profiles on CS have NO PICS/Photos???

Its a pet peeve of mine, i usually tell anyone who mails me without one that without a pic i cant respond and leave it at that. Lots of ladies on this site are of the opinion that married/attached guys hide behind faceless profiles.......

RE: So THAT's why we're single!

How about

* I just want someone normal who can be a best friend and lover IN MY OWN COUNTRY??

RE: Dating older... conflicted

I would think you are one VERY lucky lady to have found some you click with, with good chemistry who happens to be amazing in the sack...............some never get any of those in their life partner and they end up settling for a very boring sad life with them. Its not THAT long ago when that was the accepted and expected age of a couple, the guy had to have made his fortune before he could explore settling down. Think of this as a gift horse girl, dont question it!

RE: IRISH Water Taxes ~ Yes or No ~ Should We Pay ?

We already pay for water via our car tax (believe it or not) and through Property tax. This will be the 3rd tax FOR THE SAME THING that we will be paying for............only in Ireland!! Would you, in your country, pay 3 times for the same thing????

There is a massive march, on the 11th Oct from 2pm in the Garden of Remembrance Dublin, to protest against these charges. People are booking out coach companies to travel from every corner of Ireland for it.
Unfortunately there is a News blackout in Ireland on the issue, as the Private water company installing the water meters is run by the same guy who runs the Irish media - radio stations, news stations and newspapers - Denis O Brien.
See 'Fight the water Tax Scam (Lawfully)' and 'National Citizens Movement' on facebook.

RE: Is it right for women to ask for a date instead of waiting on some shy men?

Thats all lip service. Yes a girl should be able to ask a guy out or initiate contact on a site like this BUT the reality is, guys dont seem to like it, they seldom reply if you do. Thats probably why the success rate of relationships on this site is so low.........just saying.

RE: are u going crazy being a one parent family

Respect for voicing it out loud Sal. I raised 3 alone, without family to help. They are now 24, 27 and 29. I worked a full time job too. I am now a grandmother and let me tell you, raising kids solo is the hardest number there is.
Single parents, I believe work the hardest, put in the most hours and are so used to carrying the load on their own that they are stronger than the average person. It is important to keep the kids involved in some activity but you dont need to be part of it. I learned that one after many rain days on the rugby sidelines watching my son play until the day he said 'You dont need to stay Mum, you brought me, you can go do some of your own fun stuff'. We learn in all kinda ways growing with them but we dont need to be EVERYTHING to them ALL the time. Most important thing is for your kids is to see you smile and have fun too.
