Advice

exactly what i do in addition to my listed methods.

Advice

I thought of that before starting this thread but the consequences of my post should matter little to the scammers since the scam artists will improve their scamming methods regardless of CS anyway.
They are quick to learn as i have observed.

Advice

i was specifically speaking about CS members in the USA who appear American in the profile pictures.
Your profile indicates you are located in Spain.
Your english here is much better than the fake scam-artist CS members that i have encountered.

Advice

More advice on the methods i use for searching and validating if someone is genuine or not:
Google.com and Facebook.com as a means of searching by email, username, email username, first/last name and/or phone number to try an validate the person you are communicating with is genuine or fake.
Tineye.com as a means of reverse image searching to see if its a genuine image or one stolen from the internet.

Advice

I am amazed at the ruthless attempts by scammers who create profiles on CS with stolen pictures from other members/internet, who prey on the lonely and naive, who attempt to gain your trust in order to get your personal identity and money.
These "fake" CS users, who are generally in the USA, do not use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation.
They tend to write to you without using the letter "I".
Instead of "I am from Texas", its "Am from Texas".
Its pretty easy to distinguish a real person from a fake if you look out for the obvious things.
Their profile may indicate they are from Minnesota but they may tell you in a message that they are in Texas (doesnt match up).
They will tell you to text them by a phone number (never voice) they provide instead of communicating on CS (its generally a Google Voice number).
They may tell you to email them instead of communicating on CS (its generally a yahoo email address).
Their story always seems to unfold in the beginning about having a family member or child deceased in one way or another (this is a dating site, not an obituary forum).
When you ask if they have Facebook/Skype, they dodge the question/dont answer you/disappear or tell you "No" (Facebook profiles can be fake too but theyre easy to distinguish).
Using the internet/Google/facebook as a means to search the phone number, complete email or just the user name before the @ symbol in the email address will usually provide more information.
Now scam-artists are not just limited to CS, theyre all over the internet and just about every dating site has them.
My advice is simple, if the person contacts you and their story does not match up with their profile, their grammar, spelling and punctuation is all wrong, they dodge questions you ask, they immediately start talking about a family member/child that deceased, they want to immediately chat by email/messenger or text by phone (never voice), then its best off you terminate the conversation with that member.
I have been a member on here for several years and i am easily able to distinguish a scam-artist from a real CS member.
Because CS is completely free, just invites an infestation of scam-artists preying on the weak and lonely.
I have collected the Google phone numbers and email addresses from the scammers on CS throughout the years, when im very confident that i am communicating with a scam-artist on CS, i "play their game" for a little while and then give them one of the numbers/email addresses from the list of scammers i have collected and have the CS scammer, scam another CS scammer.
