I still have your charm that Jingles The memories they give me tingles So I put them in my diary That I keep hidden inside of me And sit silently empty handed Not quite the way that I planned it
I was thinking about something today. Just one of those random memories that pops into your mind for no apparent reason. Whenever I was married, my wife had two children from a previous marriage. We were all at a local harvest carnival in Gilmer, Texas called the Yamboree. The two older children wanted to ride on the pirate ship. You know what I'm talking about Journal, the big boat that swings back and forth.
Now when I say older children, I mean older than my daughter. They were only 5 and 6 years old at the time. Also, their Mother is the kind of lady that worries all the time, and has panic attacks and stuff...She hates rides, she won't ride them, and usually won't watch. So the kids are all excited, because this is the first time that they were big enough to actually go on one of the larger rides.
Well....when the ride started, they freaked out. They were screaming, and crying. I was riding with them, and doing my very best to console them. When their Mom saw them screaming, she had a fit too. She was all freaked out and crying, she ended up covering her face and walking away. I told the kids...."Oh Great! Your Mom's upset now."
Suddenly, they plastered on these artificial smiles, like they were in a Church Choir or something, and threw their hands in the air, and yelling, "Woooo Hooooo!"
I still think of that, and I am amazed at how eager children are to please their parents. They were scared, but did thier best to have fun to keep from upsetting thier Mother. It was a really sweet moment.
RE: What is the person above you doing in bed II ?
I don't know what that means, but it sounds really wrong!
