Conservation is an issue close to my heart, tree huggers may make a nuisance of themselves but if nothing else they highlight certain issues that people wouldn't necessarily be aware of otherwise.
I'm a blow in, have lived in Wicklow for 20 yrs, the landscape here has changed dramatically in the past 10 yrs..
Nature has a way of compensating but the way things have gone all you see is red brick .. and I'm a realist, if a little bit old romantic.. I do agree with a lot of the 'tree huggers' and although they won't save the world their actions may induce some thought into what the hell we're destroying and to what purpose.
