Yes, I know lots of couples from northern Europe, the Nordic countries, move to warmer countries, when they retired. Many move to southern European countries and even to Florida. Well, moving together is different than moving alone. I would move if I’d get a “once-in-a-life-time” job, but I’d never moving together with someone I hardly know in a foreign country.
No, I don't think I'll be here forever and I know I won't cry if the site shuts down. I'm quite happy with my life and I've a life outside CS. I'm mostly here for the puzzles. The OP should try the puzzles too! It's a good brain exercise, especially needed when you get older! I left once, but the puzzles pulled me back like a rubber band!
A life timer? I don't mind, as long as I find the puzzles entertaining.
No, I'm not a county police or CS police, I just want you to learn the gwography of Finland. Living in this part of the world, I just want the geography to be right. If you'd moved to Miami in New York, I would only do
(Do yoou know pompom? Just curious, I think she lives near you!)
It's possible to log in, when you're in another country. I live not too far away from Finland and I sometime log in from Finland like now being on vacation in Lappi, Finland.
I'm convinced it's easier to get to meet your partner on a local dating site than here. By the way, how many of you have really thought about what a long-distance relationship really mean? What do you have in mind when contacting someone from another country? Are you thinking "if it clicks, I'm going to move to a foreign" country! Or do you take for granted the other one will move to you? Are you going to support the other one? If you really think you're ready to move for someone I'd suggest you take a second thought about it. If you're over 50 you don't move to another country to start a new life. Only dreamers think they can do that, people with limited experience from other cultures, perhaps never even travelled outside their own country!
Like you, I didn’t join CS for the forums. I was hoping to get to know someone not too far away from me. I’m not looking anymore and I’m certainly not looking for a long-distance relationship. I’ve already said goodbye, but got stuck on the puzzle section. I’m mostly relaxing on the face puzzles and yes you can make friends there as well.
I've noticed both men and women, sort of "protecting" their country (I won't name any country) from foreigners at least in words through their posts on the forum. I've read posts like "throwing people out" who don't fit in and "importing" wives etc etc
That's what make me wonder what their purpose was when they joined an international dating site like CS in the first place. I doubt they have genuine feelings for other nationalities.
I guess you're right, they can't find what they're looking for locally and thinks it's easier to find someone far away. One thing to remember for everybody, people are not less smarter in other countries.
