We get most of our snow from the Atlantic Ocean or the west. When it snows from the east, it's usually snows very heavily! The cold weather usually comes from the Arctic!
I live in reindeer land! Yes, this is reindeer land, not only during Christmas!
When you're driving, you'll need to be on alert for reindeers. This time of the year, our roads seem to attract them due to the salt they use on the roads. The northern parts of the Scandinavian countries have a minority, the Sami people, who own the reindeers. It's an industry here; nothing tastes better than reindeer dishes (I know I shouldn't be saying this, because the reindeer is considered as a holy animal in some parts of the world)!

It's the same in Stockholm as in S Finland. When you have plus degrees, we'll get all the snow up in north! When it's cold here, you'll get all the snow!
Southern Sweden has gotten mild weather from the Europe, perhaps the same weather as you have now. In northern part we have quite nice too, but snowing right now. We usually have colder this time of the year.
I think I like really cold weather better; it doesn't usually snow, when it's real cold.
The weekend before Christmas is going to sad as usual. Many people get killed in car accidents on their way to celebrate Christmas! People are in a hurry and stressing in the traffic and the weather is not going to favour them. Sad but true!
