Blast from the past ??

Any old-timers still hanging out here?
As far as I remember, I first joined in 2012???
Much and all as I ended up hating this place, it saved my sanity at the time and brought some wonderful people into my life, some for a long time, some for a short and sharp visit ??
Here's hoping it can do the same for me again wave

RE: Does America need more gun control laws?

doh
I am so glad I live in the Eu

RE: Growing up in the North

There are numerous movies you could watch but I would suggest you just google "six counties Ireland". That will give you a general idea but, in all honesty, you had to live here to understand it.

If you want to watch a move, that is not Hollywood, I recommend "In The Name of The Father" and "Some Mothers Son".

Try to get information from both sides and make up your own mind (I forget how to post the Irish flag)
sigh

Get down from the cross, build a bridge and get over it
Live well, love much, laugh often

RE: What is your favorite liquorice allsort?

OH MY GOD!!!!! That was the weirdest thing......it used to stick to your tongue and the roof of your mouth and then kinda "explode".
Poor kids these days don't know what they're missing.....who needs drugs, bring back the fizzy stuff laugh

RE: What is your favorite liquorice allsort?

RE: Would you rather?

Ooops, I was about to get stroppy with you until I realised that I was so excited about seeing Kaybee again, that I forgot to ask a question laugh

I go for your second option (can't bring myself to type those words!!)
This is a toughie, been asked on here somewhere before in another form....would you rather lose your sight or sense of touch? I chose those two senses as they are both so important to me...

RE: Would you rather?

It's been a while Kaybee hug
Good to see you.....I missed your inspirational quotes conversing

RE: What's happening socially in Canada?

laugh

As good a place as any Pedal.....there's nowhere "central" in Canada wave

RE: Would you rather?

Ah, c'mon!!! Give me an easy choice why don't you!!
In my romantic mind, skinny dipping. In reality, rock climbing, but only if it's over rocks surrounding the beach cool (I don't do vertical)

RE: ”…friens first” = impotent

I sometimes think dead fish have more sense than a lot of living humans laugh

RE: Would you rather?

Kaybeeeeeeeee reunion

No wine, I don't drink it and who can live without chocolate????

I didn't read the first page, so I'll just go with what I think this is all about laugh

Would you rather hugs and being broke, or complacency and security?

RE: What's happening socially in Canada?

So shut up talking about snow then tongue

RE: Newfie Accent

You should direct Molly to this.....a Canadian version of the Cork accent laugh (and yes, I do know about the Irish migration to Newfoundland).

The first time I heard a real life Newfie, I actually thought he was from Ireland and had just been living in Canada for a few years laugh

RE: What's inside your mind part 29

I never realised that educating Mayo people on Facebook could be so much fun laugh innocent

RE: International News Thread.

Ah, FFS doh

Can I also say.....I'm Irish and I found it hard to understand what the hell he was saying laugh

RE: What's happening socially in Canada?

Shoveling your driveway every 2 hours before you go to bed and then again before you can get out to work in the morning?

Agreed, the skiing, snowboarding, dog sleding etc is fun, but, I've been there, you all complain about the snow the same way we complain about the rain tongue

RE: What's inside your mind part 29

Is that a Corkonian word? Are you developing your own language down there now? laugh

Ah listen, more power to the 80 year old grannies, I just can't think about that without a picture of my mum coming into my mind shock
