I've always been on the fence on this one. I used to shoot, and used to be pretty good at it. One of my best friends owned quite a few, and we used to go to the range all the time.
I don't own one, unless you count my grandfather's shotgun, which is more of a family heirloom than anything else.
I guess I support control within reason. I would not be for an outright ban nor would I be a proponent of someone one day out of a mental hospital getting a nice shiny new AK-47.
Funny how I don't remember it being called Socialism during the Clinton administration, and since the plan is to roll it back to those levels, not quite getting the outcry.
