RE: To All People Just Taking A Look In The Forums...

3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. I should point out the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty as well. That could have some odd applications I suppose...uh oh

RE: Is a creationist fit to lead a "developed" nation?

It may have been from that - but not sure. I'll see if I can find it - I'll let you be the judge. wave

"It's dark. And we're wearing sunglasses."cool

RE: Is a creationist fit to lead a "developed" nation?

Something Palin said - it started with the troops - something I fully appreciate. She carried it a bit further than that. It, in technical terms, gave me the heeby-jeebies.

RE: Is a creationist fit to lead a "developed" nation?

Exactly. I am fairly religious, but my religion is personal, and not to be forced upon anyone. Or any country, for that matter.

Well put, and nice to see you Harry. tip hat

RE: Beauty in a Man ..

It's all about goatees and flashes of gray. A simple matter, really. grin

RE: Is a creationist fit to lead a "developed" nation?

I don't think it matters. What worries me more is linking the war in Iraq to a mission of God. If you ponder that enough, it makes us no better or worse than those we condemn.smoking

RE: Do You Need to Hear an apology?

Hello pyare....he's doing okay - sleeping at this very moment...

RE: Do You Need to Hear an apology?

The words help, but forgiveness can be implied - both in offered and acceptance forms.

RE: You touched my Heart

Nicely done Stooie, thank you. tip hat

My Dad - Post a Wish Thread

Again, thanks so much.

You all need to know this - in the two weeks I have been here, I am not sure anything has lifted his spirits like this thread. I look forward to letting him scroll through it in a couple of hours.

Many thanks. It is greatly appreciated.

My Dad - Post a Wish Thread

Thanks my friend. They are playing Atlanta. And they did have a perfect pre-season. uh oh

Running down to the airport (again) this morning. I get an ultra-cheap corporate discount - great, except they won't let me extend it to another week. Not sure why they won't let me keep the Mustang for less than twenty bucks a day. confused

And thank you Somechick. tip hat

My Dad - Post a Wish Thread

Thanks Daniel, greatly appreciated. tip hat

My Dad - Post a Wish Thread

Thanks for putting this back out there gals/guys. I'll share it with him a bit later when I am at the room.

There's been progress, albeit slow, but progress nonetheless. He's in good spirits - much more so than I would be, to be sure.

I am staying on one more week (this will make three). We'll get to watch some football tomorrow, including those Lions, which is a pretty rare opportunity for me given my normal location.

Thanks all, greatly appreciate it. tip hat

RE: What Do You Think About Most Politicians?

You are wise. I could/should learn from this. cheers

RE: Is anyone listening to McCain right now?

As long as our Vegas schtick is not threatened.

RE: McCain Picks Sarah Palin.....

Heya Falling. It's not unexpected. And hey, she is easy on the eyes. I like women in glasses. That, and there's always the mute button...tip hat

RE: McCain Picks Sarah Palin.....

Funny, I don't see anyone accusing her of just giving a good speech, but not ready to lead, something I have heard so much of.roll eyes

I suppose bashing Obama means you are ready to lead - I think she was a Swift Boater as well...

RE: When did Appreciation become a four letter emotion????

Sad to say, we are becoming increasingly self-absorbed. That, or I have been living in So Cal too long.

I've been in a hospital 9 hours a day for the last week-and-a-half. One of the things I found interesting is how nice everyone is to each other. Holding doors, patiently waiting on someone, making eye contact and simply saying hello. There's almost a camaraderie - we're all in the same boat, visiting a loved one, hopeful for a positive outcome. We're nice to each other. We make small talk. We wish each other luck. I walked away wishing this was a microcosm for society, but alas, it is but a mere wish.
