To me personally' Normal is an inflection more than a word. It is an empty receptacle that is filled by one individual/group and given to another. The other can try meld to it or hand it back.
In my opinion it is as normal to hand it back as it is normal to accept it.
In America They say "Innocent until proven Guilty" Charles Manson went to court Guilty, Trying to prove his innocence. As do many others with no money.
Quite simply He was an innocent man or should I say a " man innocent " of the crimes he was accused. Manson was put in Prison for the same reason so many Guilty Parties are not. Because it serves a purpose. Not your purpose nor mine but people who need to be served. The Media Circus needed a bay guy to personify the actions that had captured a nation .
A bad guy whom a psychotic drugged up little girl could never have been without the influence of a evil Male devil standing in the shadows. The fairy tail gone wrong angle suited the media. Who in turn influenced the Jury .

Just as War criminal Politicians are painted as heroes by the media, every now and then Other stories are needed to show "Real Evil" evil by which any would be knight in tarnished armour will seem to shine.

A show of power I would assume. A message that us lower people can be tried and found guilty for crimes that we don't commit. Its the poster campaign of our Subservience to the system. God knows we have enough evidence to prove the other side Can Get away with anything so long as the price be it a brown envelope or a favour thrown in the proper direction is right .
Of course we change, Our criminal Justice systems both Juvenile and Adult is based on that exact premise.
Mean ugly Drunks can become Understanding and compassionate people. Loaners can become great leaders. Great lovers can fill with contempt and bitterness for all around. We are all capable of Small and great change in the construct of our human condition. The big problem is that often, the ones who are closest refuse to believe it.
