I'm old school Blathin. Lived a lot and learned a lot but still willing to learn about our times now. I could write a book about my life, living in the "old days" my grandson even asked me if I remembered the Dinosaurs I don't regret anything re my life only that I wish that we could have had the knowledge way back then that we have now. All us elderly people haven't got "One Foot in the Grave" I've experienced living in Spain for 15 years, experienced living in America over the years plus living with my late sister in Airdrie in Scotland from being a bit of a kid. All these memories I I will hold forever and I feel blessed that I've had the chance to do so................

The Uk is suffering badly from knife crimes now and mostly from kids aged 12 to 20. The Uk did clamp down on their gun laws and rightly so after the Dunblane and the Hungerford shootings. Something that us Brits will never forget., but if someone want's a gun desperately then they will get one. I live in a lovely rural village where I can leave my doors open and my good friend in America can do the same. I don't own a gun but I appreciate were many Americans do actually need to own a gun,rifle to protect their homes from the Bears etc.

I don't own a gun but I do have a knife under my pillow for my protection in my own home and that's not against the law.

We cannot blame our Government on what these people chose to do and you should never blame your Government on what those people chose to do. Yes! I agree that America is too political but when I'm there, they are the most respectful people ever.

I think that I've mentioned my granddaughter being Autistic. It was a few teachers in her Primary School when she was nearly 5 that 1st noticed it. My daughter just couldn't accept it at 1st. Luckily, the Primary School catered for just 1 class for autistic children but there were only 7 or 8 of them in the class. My daughter then moved away and my granddaughter was then placed in an all autistic school with different classes regarding their ages. I understand re the spectrums but my daughter really struggles as Summer goes from wanting to go out in the car, get out and have a walk just with her Mum "my daughter" to just wanting to go out in the car for a ride and not wanting to get out of the car. Summer can't stand the radio being on in the car, she just wants to listen to her own music with her earphones on. She just wants to stay in her bedroom all the time other than going for a ride in the car. Summer can make a cup of tea and a sandwich but if she tries to make some toast and the smoke alarm goes off, she just stands there with her fingers in her ears. She still has the 3 colours "Green, Yellow and Red" on wooden sticks which she can hold up in the classroom when she is feeling agitated. The doctors have put her on medication as she couldn't decipher night from day. She has her medication at 9pm and has her phone taken off her then. She had broken 3 beds with her rocking so now got a reinforced bed. Summer will be 16 in July and hopefully will be able to spend another year at her school. Autistic people are very clever. Summer knew more about The Beatles than I did but I do worry about her future.....

Is it because you didn't understand that the Uk is made up of 4 Countries but yet you still insist on calling us all England? Well you can't delete this. Sorry Galrads, but you can't blame all this on Biden "in your opening text" these shootings have been going on way before Biden got into office so you can't blame everything on Biden. Yes! America needs to address their gun laws but why do American Rugrats keep trying to blame the Democrats? It's always a political issue not one that actually cares for the decent people that have to live their lives in America

Although I agree with you in some respect as I have friends in Wisconsin who have a "rifle" I'm not well up on guns to be honest, they have a rifle to protect their home from the bears. However, I can't understand how an 18yr old can purchase guns and gain a license to purchase those guns when people in the US have to be 21yrs to purchase alcohol? I do understand that the US has now withdrawn the sale of guns in Walmart etc.. which is a step forward. So, you can purchase a gun but can't go in a bar or buy alcohol until you're 21?

Drunk drivers don't go out intentionally to kill innocent people which is totally wrong and they should be jailed, not matter what the circumstances are. The same with people that are taking illegal drugs and cause an accident. The big difference is that these people are intentionally going out with their guns , selecting their "target" and planning it over a few days and then claiming "Mental Health Issues" It's degrading to people that actually do have "Mental Health Issues" Hey! the Uk is going the same way now but it's knives

The last hope for Humanity is for the Ukraine having back their own Country. I think about this a lot, what if the Uk were to be taken over by another Country? What if the US were taken over by another Country or Counties? I doubt it would happen in my lifetime but looking back in History, the Vikings, the Egyptians, the Romans etc... All ruled at one time or another. History is there to be remembered and never to be forgotten whether it be sad. We need our History whether good or bad as we need to "Learn" from it, not "Irradicate" it...........

Drugs are drugs whether "Legal or Illegal" You can get "spaced out" on Ibuprofen. I know this as a "fact" I had a trapped nerve in my neck when I lived in "Spain" sorry I mentioned Spain I went to the Hospital who prescribed Tramadol, I took 2 tablets over 2 days and felt awful with nausea They went back to the Pharmacy. Being in such excruciating pain, I overdosed on ibuprofen just to get rid of the pain. Again, when I had my hip replacement done in Spain in 2019, I requested "NO Tramadol. I was prescribed "Palexia" which is an "opioid" but it's legal

I agree that smoking is a drug but you don't see smokers taking up beds in the A&E department every weekend. Maybe we should all stop breathing air?
