Yeah! as I'm a Brit and very proud of it. It will be ecstatic. I'll be home but i'll still have a place in Spain which will still be within my heart
As we can't see you Mr Bacon, you love to dish out the insults I can assure you that the Uk will survive with me I wonder if your "tank" will survive when you get in it? "winks"
I very much doubt it Any excuse You're the fool, not me. You're not boring to be honest. I just laugh at the hatred that you love to spread around. When this thread was about Brexit. Nothing to do with Americans or Trump. Maybe you should take a bit of a break and fire up your tank
Ok Tommy, whatever. Why is it then that when I fly to the Uk on wednesday that I'm still able to take 1000's of ciggs not just 200 when the Uk is not in the EU?. I can still walk through the EU Control at Manchester Airport. I just know that "I" personally have received a letter from the Government stating that nothing with change until 31st December 2020. Maybe you need to check up on things "winks"
A long intricate document but gives you the information.........
I don't understand the meaning of your "post" This thread was about Brexit. All you do is go on about "lefties" etc..... Yes, the Uk have their problems but maybe look at your own Country first and foremost. All the trouble that you're having there. You can't put the blame on the Uk for all the crap that the US is suffering from now. The Uk isn't having people rioting, shooting each other, destroying and burning down businesses. I'm not sure why you have so much hatred within you that you have to "lash out" at everyone. Maybe that was what you was taught in the US Army? The armed Forces can now seek medical help for TSS. Watched this movie many times...........
The Uk people unanimously voted for Brexit. Whether others like it or not, that was the decision. Uk ex pats were able to vote but I personally, didn't vote. I've accepted what the Uk people wanted. I think it's about time that Boris now puts his foot down with a firm hand He needs to get the Uk out of the EU, with or without a deal as quickly as possible. This has been going on for far to long now and the British people are getting pissed off with it all, and can you blame them?.
I'm going to sail my dinghy out into the middle of the "channel" fully equipped with my cane rod attached with a long piece of string and a fishing hook on the end I wonder who would pick me up 1st? The French or the Brits?
Let's just hope things will get better. I have to fill in a form for when I go back to the Uk on the 9th. You can only fill it in 48 hours before your flight. Stating the address where you'll be staying and the reason why. My friends brother just flew from London to Alicante (Spain) 2 days ago and he had to do the same thing. They didn't check his temperature at Gatwick Airport but they did at Alicante Airport on arrival.
I've only booked a one way ticket and will have to isolate for 14 days when I get there (staying with my daughter and family) They work so it will be easy during the day but I'll still keep my distance for 14 days, for their safety and mine. I'll miss the hugs though when she picks me up from the airport. Very difficult times at the moment
SA. I know what you're saying. I always used to wear cheap sunglasses from our todo shops, UV from 200 to 400 at a cost of 5 euros $6. My eyes are very sensitive to light. I get bad headaches over my eyes if I don't wear them, even in the Uk...
When I was in America for Xmas 2018. I found some. The sun can't come down the top of them or around the sides. I'm still using them. The lenses are made out of polycarbonate? which I'm told is used for astronauts visors. They have never scratched in all the 2 years I've been using them. I love them to bits and long may they reign Not cheap but well worth it in the long run. My friend had to have both of his cataracts done, different times and they put lenses in, now he doesn't need to wear glasses anymore.
I'd rather be 2 shades whiter than snow than risk getting the big C word. My life is worth more than that. JMO
It may look better Peter and that's the reason why skin cancer is on the way up. I see people here in Spain, lying by the pool every day, putting sun cream/oil on twice during all those hours they are lying there, and for what? To go back home and then it all washes off within 2 weeks? Skin cancer can be a killer. My friends son died aged 36 with melanoma. I've had skin cancer on my face, long before I moved to Spain. Luckily for me, it wasn't melanoma but I'm very careful now. I've had my warning. Spray tans are much safer in the long run and doesn't cost the NHS money treating people with skin cancer because they want to feel like they look good for a couple of weeks. My skin cancer had nothing to do with the sun but I was warned to stay out of it and I do. Once bitten, twice shy as the saying goes.
When I finally arrive in the North of the Uk next week. My daughter will say "bloody hell Mum, where's ya tan?" I never sit in the sun during the summer months in Spain. I never burn even without sun screen, as I stay in the shade but this happens sometimes when the sun moves round and I get it on my back. I never sit facing the sun, even during the winter months. Not worth it. My ex always had a tan as he worked outdoors in the Uk so was what we called "weather beaten" lol..........
I agree SA, my American friend is Italian. We go to this awesome restaurant called Italiano Joe's in Hammonton. They make their own pasta. bread etc......He always pays but when we go to Walmart or another supermarket. I foot the bill and also do all the cooking at his place. I pay for the petrol for his truck. After all, I'm staying at his house. Fair's fair in my book
I have blinds on the outside of my windows. Very light weight and easy to clean from the inside. I need them to cut out the sun as I'm south facing. They have little slots in them to let in the air if you wish or just drop them down fully and they close up tightly.
My daughter has the new type of blinds which are really nice. I think GS will know what they're called......
