To be totally honest, I'm not feeling the "heat" I still have my duvet on my bed, I was still wearing thick fleecy PJ's the other day. Probably because I'm still not acclimatised to the Uk weather Certain Countries know what their weather will be like, unlike the Uk, it's bit like a hit and miss here In Spain "sorry to mention that Country" the Spanish people tend to shed their clothing's in June whether it hot or not, they then put on their winter clothing's on around October/November time. When I lived in Spain I just used to soak a cotton sarong in the sink, wrap it around me and then just sit under my ceiling fan, job done I've never encountered a "Hose Pipe Ban" in Spain, I could be wrong though

Yes! Catalonia wanted there own "Independence" in Spain. Unless you have lived there for a number of years, not just having holidays over there. Come back to me when you've actually lived there, and not from a two week holiday

Can you elaborate on "Who" is "obsessed" with Boris? It makes a change from your "Obsessiveness" regarding Biden and Trump The Uk "not Islanders or Englanders" are sorting out our "Great Britain" can you say the same for your Country? You fight among yourselves all the time Call it a Great America? We Brits tend to stick together, no matter what Government is in office. We may disagree with the Politics but we don't "flood" the threads regarding American Politics. I lived in Spain from 2006 until 2020 but we owned the apartment since 1999 and used to go there 3 times per year, split our weeks holidays up. Spain is a beautiful Country. Us Brits just seem to associate Spain with Benidorm, like many Brits associate the north as in Blackpool, Morcambe and Southport as in tourism. We have the beautiful Lake District here in the Uk. Spain has lots of History just like the Uk. Over the years, I've been to Valencia, Almeria, a province within Andalusia region, down to Gibralta. It's quite difficult to explain the regions and provinces along with the Cities or Towns.
The Spanish people are so friendly, they are very family orientated. They go out on Sunday afternoons, all the family go to lunch at a Spanish Restaurant. It really is lovely to see them. In the summer months, the kids all go to a park to play football, they have lots of parks for the kids, they don't seem to hang about on the streets like they do in the Uk. It's more multicultural in Spain than it is in the Uk from what I've experienced living there. I will never have a bad word to say about Spain and before anyone asks why I came back to the Uk, that's my business. My lovely friend that I'd known for 15ys, had no family in Spain, I had a set of his keys as he was always locking himself out. He was a lot older than me and had serious health problems. I was back in the Uk when his daughter messaged me to ask if I was his interpreter? Obviously I wasn't, it was the Spanish woman that we both had and she had the same name as me. The Guardia had to break in but unfortunately he was found deceased on his lounge floor In Spain, you have to be cremated within 2 or three days or you have to pay mega bucks to keep the body. They don't have graveyards in Spain, if you want to be buried, they are brick buildings above ground.

Sorry for the long tedious post. I just wanted to give a bit of an incite regarding Spain..........

Do you think for one moment that we would have an American as our PM? And more to the fact that he's over State Pension age along with Trump. We prefer our PM's to be a tad younger. Boris seemed to start off well but then he must have thought he was "Above the Law" Well he got his "comeuppance" in the end and rightly so.

Thank you so much SA although many people ask why we still have a Monarch and many British don't want a Monarch, I personally love our Queen she's dedicated her whole life representing the British people. She vowed on her Coronation that she would devote her life to representing the people of the Uk. She hasn't had it good, she had to tell her own sister Margaret that she couldn't marry Townsend as he was a divorcee and if she did, she would have to give up all her rights as a Princess. So much sadness within the Royal Family. I personally think that once our beautiful Queen Elizabeth is gone, then that will be the end of our Monarchy Sad but true.....but Queen Elizabeth the 2nd will definitely go down in History along with Henry the 8th Queen Victoria and Elizabeth the 1st

Long may our Beautiful Queen Elizabeth II reign

Well I doubt very much that the people that are working in the Uk not just "ENGLAND" will be thinking about your Independence Day, just like you Americans didn't get 2 days off work while we Celebrated our Queens Platinum Jubilee
